I found this amazing gimbap place in Flushing! You gotta try it. They load it up with veggies and meats and go light on the rice, just how I like it. One order is more than enough to fill you up. And not only is the food great and well-priced, but everyone there is super friendly too. I highly recommend it and will try other menus next time.

Very nice restaurant with kind people. We don’t speak korean - but it went just fine with their guidance. The portions are generous and really excellent in quality. Fresh and high quality, and the prices are very good. I will definitely come back again. As noted by others, it’s no longer called Nawabari. Has a Korean sign. Even if you don’t speak Korean, no worries. They are very welcoming and nice! Worth the trip.

Thank you for letting me enjoy the Shindang-dong tteokbokki that I miss so much!!!
I bought kimbap for my acquaintances.
I don't think I can eat any other kimbap.
They do not skimp on ingredients and make sure they are fresh.
Praise!!!!

Tteokbokki is too sweet
Looks like it contains a lot of flour
Assorted fries with some french fries
Not really. In Sindang-dong.
I was deceived

It’s no longer called Nawabari.
Been here multiple times, and their king sized kimbap is so good. I originally came for their tteokbokki, but to be honest, it was a bit of a letdown. They have a bunch of flavors, but their rice cakes are too thin and flimsy, and it is very soupy. The real star is their kimbap! Tried several types and they were all great. In accordance w their name, they’re big and filling. They do not skimp out!

I’ve been there 2-3 times during my visit in NYC. Wang Gimbap $9 was very delicious and the jjolmyeon was also very delicious. Highly recommended!!! The male servers were also generally friendly. I accidentally dropped my chopsticks, but you brought them back to me right away before I spoke!!

I went a few times and had great kimbap. It was delicious, but I wondered why they didn't give me the soup because I was thirsty while eating.. I guess they didn't mean it.. Even if I just loosen the soup and add an egg. I tried it, but another kimbap restaurant gave it to me. Wow, really..

Korean food is red hot in 2024. On one end, there’s modern upscale Korean cuisine that strives to go after Michelin stars. On the other end, there’s Korean street food making a big splash. Ttekokki (or Topoki - I prefer this spelling) is at the pinnacle of Korean street food and if you are a big fan of this particular cuisine, then you will immediately notice this restaurant makes the best Topoki in NY.The restaurant name is now changed to Shindangdong Topoki. Shindangdong is the name of town in Seoul known for special type of Topoki. And this small restaurant miraculously replicates the authentic Topoki from Shindangdong. 1980’s style. As a huge fan of Topoki, this place was such a treat. I have no problem making a trip here from NJ, paying tolls at GW bridge & Throgs Neck. I will be back soon.
The kimbap was delicious, so I went there a few times and recommended it to my friends, but I don't think I'll ever go there again. Tteokbokki tasted like preservatives and they said it was the same rice cake, but they didn't even give me rice cakes in two colors and basic soup for gimbap. At the very least, if you want to run a business under the signboard “Tteokbokki,” shouldn’t you pay attention to the basic ingredients?

When eating kimbap, there is a strange fishy smell, perhaps due to the ingredients. Why does budae stew taste different every time I order it? Hahaha And market tteokbokki? Why are you eating??? It really doesn't taste good...
