Great spot on Metropolitan Avenue for Indian food and cocktails. We had the lamb shank and the salmon bowl, which were superb. The staff was super-attentive and welcoming, especially Vani.

I've been a fan of Paratha Wala since it opened for the fun vibe and good food, and a recent dinner was one of my favorite visits. The restaurant is really colorful and beautiful at night and the music adds to the vibe.
Our server Vani was exceptionally friendly and accommodating, and everyone made us feel welcome. The salmon bowl, butter chicken tacos, wings, coconut iced chai and mango lassi were all delicious.
The fruit & nut paratha is one of my favorite treats in the world. It's not always available so if it is you must try it!

Vani was a very great waitress. This was the best Indian food experience I've ever had. Must return again.

Got the butter chicken tacos here last night and let me just say they were pretty good but this morning I ended up with serious food poisoning. My boyfriend and I ate everything else together like the paratha bread, the samosas and butter chicken with rice but he ended up fine so it had to be my tacos. My life is a living hell right now, will not be back.

This used to be the go to spot for trendy Desi food but unfortunately the high prices here no longer justify the experience. While it is understandable that food prices are up across the city, the food quality has also gone down with many alternatives in the area.

The food was ridiculous. We ordered parathas expecting proper stuffing, but there was barely any filling at all. What we were served was just very thick maida dough, dry and heavy, nothing close to a real paratha.
To make it worse, the food upset my stomach for the entire day, which says a lot about the quality and preparation. The chai was also served cold, which was the final strike.
Overall, poor food quality, slow service, and zero value for money.
Would never recommend this place, don’t waste your time or money here.

The food is not good at all. Hours after having the food - all we can feel is bad stomach and oil.
Staff is good. The food feels like bland chaos, in try to make fusion.
Like paneer taco is a deep fried Indian poori with paneer bhaji. Most of the food is doughy and bland - not representing indian food at all.

Updated 12-20-25 Have been here a few times now and really enjoy this Indian fusion restaurant. Anu was our server, she was super sweet and helpgul. The place had a unique menu of great tasty food. The atmosphere is amazing and the owner Sohan was so nice. So happy stopped in to try this place and will definitely be going back again.

We visited this place for the first time after seeing it on social media, and it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We were greeted kindly and seated right away. Our hostess, Vani, took our drink order and later returned to walk us through some of their most popular menu items.
Based on her recommendations, we ordered the lamb shank, butter chicken pasta, shrimp curry, and chicken momos. Every dish was absolutely amazing—flavorful, well-prepared, and satisfying. The experience overall was excellent, and the staff was incredibly friendly, especially toward our 3-year-old, which we truly appreciated. We’ll definitely be back!
