Porta 23 is a small, nice place in Astoria. Its dishes are so good. My wife and I shared calamari, poke ahi tuna crisps, and some signature drinks. I didn't know that the Brazilian and Indian combo of sweet and spicy deliciousness was possible! I don't even like too much spice in my food, usually, but this was too good to miss. Good prices and service too.
Hidden gem! Small spot you might not notice walking by but such good food. We had a friendly and attentive waiter. And the PDQ cheese bread app is so unique and delicious, must try.
If your reading the reviews on Porta 23 what are you waiting pick up the phone and make reservations! I had the BEST mussles fresh perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The vibe is unbeatable shout out to Patrick making my husband and I feel right at home. He even took his time to speak with ny sons girlfriend whose also from Brazil.
