Sarku Japan, located on Jamaica Avenue, offers a casual dining experience with clean and well-maintained surroundings. The restaurant features polite cashiers who provide decent service. The food menu includes dumplings, chicken teriyaki, and shrimp teriyaki, with chicken teriyaki being a popular choice served with white rice and a side of beef. The Red Bull Roll is known for its spicy kick, and spring rolls are also available. Customers have praised the food as extremely good, with tasty teriyaki chicken served with bok-choi, fresh broccoli, and steamed white rice, often with a slot for teriyaki sauce. The restaurant gets high marks for its welcoming staff, quick service, and spotless environment, making it a great place to enjoy a quick Japanese meal. Some customers noted that service can be slow during busy times, and that floors and staff may sometimes be dirty. Despite this, Sarku Japan remains a reasonable option for a quick bite, offering generous portions at fair prices. The food quality is generally good, though some customers might not prefer the shrimp and rice. Nearby family-owned options like New Sarkura Japan in the Jamaica Market offer similar dishes with slight variations. Overall, Sarku Japan is a convenient place to enjoy a quick Japanese meal, especially if nearby.
