Saucy Fried Chicken

I was really looking forward to trying this food because there aren’t really any soul food places in Astoria. Unfortunately, they weren’t actually open even though they were listed on DoorDash as open.If you’re not open, then you need to list yourself as closed on DoorDash because it’s messed up to customers as well as DoorDash drivers.I waited for nothing and got my hopes up for nothing (I feen for oxtail and I was really wanting some). And three different DoorDash drivers attempted to pick up the order only to find that the store was closed and then the order was cancelled.I will edit this review if y’all are ever actually open and delivering on DoorDash and I actually get to try the food. I want to be able to give a fair review (and eat some oxtail!)

I was at the opening night and it was a delight. The oxtail is amazing, the chicken is divine.I look forward to MANY delicious decisions from Saucy for my future. Best of luck!

They were on Groupon and are completely out of business. If you know your establishment is currently closed and or out of business take it off Groupon . ?

Great Chicken!

Not actually halal, even though the door says it is. We asked the people behind the counter and they confirmed it was not halal. Huge bummer because I thought Astoria got a halal soul food spot.

BEWARE! DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! THEY CHARGE YOUR CARD BUT DO NOT FILL THE ORDER! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!Ordered through GrubHub, and GrubHub got an error message through their system saying the restaurant wasn't taking orders today (@ 1:30pm on a Sunday afternoon.) They were unable to reach the restaurant by telephone, to discuss whether the restaurant is open or not.The phone number listed on their account as well as their specific website is not a local number. The restaurant on all ordering systems (GrubHub, Seamless, DoorDash, UberEats, etc...) and their listings on Google and their own website all have the same nonocal phone number, and the listings specify that they are open 24 hours/day, every day.No previous reviews, although they are on 4 different delivery services. No one answers the phone which is listed everywhere. The payment refund has supposedly been started, but is still in being held in by the bank, because it is a Sunday and the banks are closed. My money for lunch is tied up with this transaction from a restaurant that is supposedly a 24 hour restaurant, but is conveniently closed.This listing is a scam. A 24 hour restaurant with delivery that is not taking orders. The non-local phone number has no one picking up the phone. No reviews for the restaurant. Their system worked well enough to charge my card though. Avoid at all costs!
