I honestly had a disappointing experience here. The food and the service just didn’t match what I expected, and it feels like the place is more focused on overcharging customers than giving real value.
I won’t be coming back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and honest spot.

Safir is a neighborhood staple and offers very authentic turkish dishes. Doner wrap is delicious and the lentil soup is the best in LiC. Whatever comes out of the oven (i.e Lahmacun, spinach pide, chefs special etc...) will have you clinching your fist and saying thank you to the universe for giving us Safir. You can never go wrong with Safir. Ive been eating here for years now.

My second time at Safir and it did not disappoint! Everything I've had on the menu here is delicious. Staff is knowledgeable and kind, especially the owners. We had the Iskender and Ali Nazik with lamb, and the Katmer for dessert - recommend them all. Will be there again soon to try the lunch pitas. Thank you for having us!

Went to this place 2 months ago and forgot to review my experience.
The service wasn’t the best, they forgot I was outside.
I forgot the name of the dish that I got, but it was not good at all; I couldn’t eat it. However, this could just be personal preference and my experience didn’t make it any better.

Easily the best Turkish food I’ve had in NY, there is no competition. The babaganoush, doner, chicken shish, and lahmacun were amazing, they even have katmer!!! We loved basically every dish we tried. The owners and staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to coming back often and trying the whole menu!

Nice cozy restaurant with a feel of Turkey. Went on. Friday afternoon to enjoy a time with friends. Had the lentil soups with a few of appetizers and their beer. Nice time with very delicious food.

Nice place, good for a breakfast, branching and to drop off for a cup of tea and coffee. Loved their Kozleme with greens and potatoes. Turkish tea and Cappuccino was lovely and authentic. Turkish sweets- Baklava with chocolate was my favorite and very delicious.

My friends and I stopped by this gem after watching the NYC Marathon. So glad we stopped here because the food is exceptional. We tried the chicken Shish kebab, lamb adana, chicken adana, and grilled octopus. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavors transport you home, no matter where home is. There was something so comforting about the food here and the service was great too. My friends and I left feeling full and happy. Highly recommend!!

Safir is amazing! As a former LIC resident, I wasn’t sure if the delivery would live up to dining in—but it’s just as great! I definitely recommend eating at the restaurant if you can, but the delivery is also fantastic. They have the best lentil soup in NYC, and the staff is always wonderful. Even though I’m no longer in the neighborhood, I still order weekly 😂. Everything is packaged perfectly and travels well. The Chicken Shish and Lentil Soup are my favorites, but honestly, everything on the menu is delicious!

🌟 **Exceptional Turkish Cuisine in Long Island City**
I've dined at this Turkish restaurant in Long Island City, Queens on four separate occasions, and each visit has been consistently outstanding. The quality of the food never wavers—every dish is flavorful, authentic, and beautifully prepared. I highly recommend the Lamb Adana and the Mixed Grill; both are incredibly delicious and showcase the kitchen’s mastery of traditional Turkish flavors.
Equally impressive is the staff: warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality adds to the overall experience, making each meal feel special. Whether you're a first-time guest or a returning customer, this restaurant delivers excellence every time.
Such a good restaurant they took us back to the middle east with amazing Turkish food flavours 🤩😍
