I found the person who replied to my quote request offensive and unprofessional. Rather than correcting the budget or giving the benefit of the doubt that there could've been a typo or a system error, he or she chose to insult me. Here's a tip: design a better website that would enable potential clients to only enter the proper budget based on the guest size. From this experience, I can assess that the owner is a swindler. I'd give negative stars if only Yelp would allow me.

After Steven Brown Caterers did a fabulous job at our wedding event in May 2013, they subsequently catered our holiday cocktail party in December 2014 and once again in December 2015. Every time our guests have the same response: where did you find this caterer - this food is delicious! Steven Brown is flexible in scheduling and assists with putting together a great menu - in our case a great selection of horse d'oevres. Above all, the service staff are amazing and go above and beyond. The delicious food and friendly staff of Steven Brown Caterers made a real difference and have helped our events becoming a great success! Will definitely use them again for future events.

We went with Steven Brown Caterers for our autumn-themed cocktail wedding on October 23, 2015 and could not recommend them enough. Elri Nieuwenhuizen, our event planner, did an incredible job. She worked one-on-one with us on everything from food choices to rentals to scheduling. She and her staff were flexible, courteous, practical - and very good at anticipating our guests' needs months before the event even occurred! The food was delicious, and Elri even had her chefs chime in to help create a great seasonal menu. The wonderful thing about Steven Brown Caterers is that you are working with a staff who knows event planning inside and out. Our venue was an old art deco theater without a full kitchen, but you'd never have known it thanks to Elri, who did a site visit months in advance to ensure that all the bases were covered. Very often, event planners aren't there for the actual event, which can lead to last minute stress - but Elri was present from start to finish. During the wedding, a staff member came up to us with a specially prepared plate of food, knowing it would be difficult for us to find time to grab food otherwise. It's the little details like that that make choosing a company like SBC worthwhile.

Absolutely delicious. We have catered meals at work (I know, I'm spoiled!) and today we had it from this wonderful place. Kale citrus salad, the most tender grilled chicken, salmon, quinoa with vegetables, pasta with vegetables, and to finish it off, mini cheesecakes. One of the best places we have used so far. The food here is delicious!!! To me aside from the dj, food is the most important part of any event...I've been to soooo many weddings where the food sucks! and I'm left hungry & grumpy (never a good combo) so I didn't want the food at my wedding to suck. Just a few days ago my organization hosted an event at a fancy location in 5th avenue and we chose Steven Brown Caterers because they offered the best price proposal from all vendors recommended by the venue. They were absolutely wonderful. The staff is polite, proactive, professional, fun, and caring. The food was delicious (highly recommend the sesame chicken and the beef skewers). We work with many vendors and they truly are exceptional, I look forward to working with them again next year.
