TAI ER SICHUAN CUISINE 太二酸菜鱼 (FLUSHING)

First off I don’t be writing reviews and all that I had to hop on this joint to say how disappointed I was at this restaurant… I was taking my nephew to watch the new cartoon movie Sunday afternoon and decided I wanted to try this joint. When I enter the joint I’m just looking for some bussing fried rice but when I’m asking the servers for the fried rice they gave me some sorry weak responses. I ain’t gon say much but I’m not sure if it’s because of a race issue but it really got me real upset. We got females chatting in the front and no one came to my table to refill some water. I ain’t gon say much but I found that crazy so I had to post this.

Everything in this restaurant was alright. SUPER OVERPRICED for the quality of the dishes. The choices in the staff are terrible as everyone was talking in the front while one guy carries the fish to the tables and basically does everything else. I was very excited to come here after being recommended by all my peers but I guess the service has gone down since. Won't be coming back any time soon.

The food was decent but the service was horrible. I was trying to get spoons to try some of the broth of the sauerkraut fish. The tall female server was talking to other another server for a good amount of time and no one would help me out for a few minutes. Eventually, one of the servers did get me my spoon. The same female server would constantly talk to other people throughout my meal. Other than this issue, everything else was fine.

Tai Er is amazing! The spicy sour fish soup is the best and so flavorful with that perfect numbing kick. It is inside Tangram which makes it a fun spot since you can walk around and explore after eating. Definitely a go to if you are craving bold flavors.

This place is alright. We ordered a Wonton, a bowl of fish for two and a dessert. The fish was a bit underwhelming and not as flavorful as it looks and also quite salty (couldn't stop drinking water after the meal). The portion was just enough.

I do feel for the type of offering and the portion, this place is overpriced. The tiny small bowl of mango dessert was $6. You can get a similar drink from Hey Tea down the block for $1 more and waaaaay more materials. Nothing stood out but it is priced on the higher end at flushing. We also spotted a bug crawling across our table.

This place is overpriced for the quality of their food. The mango sago dessert was so sour i almost threw up in the bathroom. Don’t come here

Staff was very attentive, confirmed our order with us before getting started. The food came out very quickly after we ordered and was very delicious.
