So I went to Thamel around a month back on a Friday evening. It was my 2nd time going there, so I am a fairly new customer. I feel like the staff there are biased towards the people they know and have no concern about the new customers. The bartender was busy gossiping with his customer friends about something, rather than taking an effort to come over and take my order, even after waving my hand toward him multiple times.
