“We stopped here on Labor Day after trying to eat in Lake George without having made a reservation anywhere. That was impossible so we started driving South on Route 9 and decided to stop here because their sign said they had a famous Reuben sandwich. Well I am certainly glad that we did! My girlfriend got the prime rib, I got the famous Reuben and we got an order of lobster mac and cheese to share. I was told that the prime rib was excellent and I can speak to the fact that the Ruben is indeed amazing and should be famous! I consider myself a bit of a Reuben connoisseur and this is the best one I've ever had, anywhere! The lobster mac and cheese was equally impressive. It was cheesy, buttery and delicious and a very generous portion. Lastly I will include that the bartender pours a mean old fashioned. It's a generous poor with the right flavor and they were quite wonderful. Our server was first rate. Efficient and polite and attentive. All in all our experience here was amazing and we will be back again!
It is worth noting that like all things of this quality, it isn't necessarily cheap. I asure you, it is worth every penny.“

“We were to meet my son & family in Lake George to celebrate their anniversary Sat 6/24/23. He told us to meet them a the East Cove Restaurant at 5:30pm. They're not there, we go to the bar as we have in the past. Get a drink & ask about the reservation - there is none. We get a phone msg, they told us the told us the wrong restaurant, errrr!. They're at George's which is only 100 yds up the road. "You're killin' me Smalls." After that hiccup everything at George's was excellent. This is a prime rib, steak, & seafood restaurant. Our waitperson, Richard T was pleasant, helpful, & efficient. Two Fiddlehead IPA ($8ea) and two Banfi pinot grigios ($11ea) during our meal. My bride had broiled haddock w/ a side of cauliflower ($28+$4) which was almost double the portion generally served in restaurants. I had the pork shank osso bucco w/ mashed potatoes ($31) and their very popular salad bar. A large & tender shank w/ a very good demi-glace. Very nice offering excellently prepared & served. "Our steaks and ribs are hand cut and house seasoned Entrees Include choice of salad bar or soup du jour / clam chowder and choice of starch" - George's. Also had the stuffed mushroom appetizer ($12) and a basket of garlic bread w/ pesto (chef's compliment). Also two petit prime rib dinners ($35ea) & a very large "Kids" spaghetti & meatballs ($15) George's offers excellent food & service. Note: And not just b/c my son is friends with the chef, Nick DeJesus. A great dinner as we have come to expect from the staff at George's. Open Thu-Mon 4-9pm. plenty of parking.
