Friar's Head Golf Course is one of the top-rated and finest championship layouts in New York state. The excellent duneland, links course contains a wealth of wonderfully crafted, memorable and challenging holes. Definitely a course that will challenge your all-round game. However, this is a private course generally playable only by members and their guests.
This review is actually for the accommodations and the food, not the golf course. Wow. Just... wow. The rooms in the "cottages" are truly fantastic- the showers, views, furniture, all top notch. Our cottage included a beautiful billiards table underneath a wall-mounted flat screen HD tv. As for the food in the club house- I'll put it this way.
