Tweed's Restaurant Reviews
Great day in Riverhead we stopped in for lunch. Very cool place the bartender was so nice
Food was amazing as always
After shopping, my husband and in-laws wanted a nice meal. We looked at the list of ten best in Riverhead and this was on it. It didn’t disappoint. We called for reservation and we’re told not needed, just come in and we did and were seated quickly. There was a piano player playing nice tunes like Billy Joel’s “Mexican Connection”. Tweed's Restaurant offers an elegant and charming environment with attentive and pleasant staff. The menu features unique options such as bison, known to be delicious and perfectly cooked. The salmon and steaks are also praised for their quality. The restaurant has a distinctive atmosphere with a 70s-inspired vibe, complete with bison heads on the wall and a dark wood bar. On weekends, a piano player adds to the enjoyable evening. Customers praise the great Espresso Vodka Martini's, the Bison Ruben and Hari's Salad, and the Bison Burger. The Bison filet and Bison Cowboy Steak are also highly recommended. The place has an old-fashioned, historic charm, and the owner is often present, greeting guests at their tables. The bar can get busy, and wait times for drinks may be long, but the service remains friendly and excellent. Highlights of the menu include the crab dip with homemade pita chips, which many find unbelievable, and the mashed potatoes accompanying the Bison filet. The restaurant maintains a consistent high quality in food, service, and atmosphere, making it a favorite for those who enjoy a classic steakhouse with a twist and a deep history. The piano player adds a special touch to the evenings, though some guests note that noise levels could be better managed to improve comfort. Overall, Tweed's remains an iconic landmark worth visiting, especially for its cocktails and bison dishes.
