I picked up take out for our dinner group. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The food was ready on time and everyone liked their meals. I hope to go back soon and dine in.

I ate here for the first time and it was sooooo delicious the chicken was seasoned so well that was my favorite from my meal. The tembleque was on point. The customer service was a Five Star so respectful and so sweet. Definitely will be coming back!

The food was great. The arroz con gandules was as good as my mother's. The pernil and stewed beef were very flavorful and also as good as mom's. The tostones were 10/10. Perfectly cooked and just a hint of salt with mayokechup on the side. The soft bolero music playing in the background was a welcome change to the ear blasting reggeton played in many other places. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have been at Carmen’s Cooking for both Dine and Take out and the quality of the food and the treatment by the staff is at another level. I would recommend this to anyone!

I stopped by Carmen‘s today to grab lunch, it’s very close to my job. I was nicely greeted, and immediately told about the specials I decided on the baked chicken and rice and beans….. Gotta say, some of the best I’ve ever had! The flavor was amazing,! I contemplated going back for more! The service was wonderful and the food was even better! Thank you so much, Carmen!

Stopped in for lunch and it was delicious! I tried one of the specials (tropical poutine with pernil) and the flan. Will definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu!

It doesn't matter where you're from, when you're here you're home. I have to restrain myself from coming here every day. The owners took the time to explain all of the favorites on the menu to us, we came in with a group of 6 and every one of us is committed to returning to try the rest of the menu because we were so amazed. I just moved to this city and I couldn't be happier, I hope I get to keep coming back here again and again. ❤️

Update: Dessert just arrived. The tres leches nearly brought me to tears. The bread pudding was just as good!

If you're looking for an absolutely wonderful experience and even more incredible food, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place here in Rochester, I went here with a big group of my friends and they were incredibly welcoming and informative. Stop reading reviews and just go eat here! I'd give 10 stars if I could. 💜

Honestly some of the worst Latin food I have ever attempted to eat. I spent $52 on two meals with empanadas and the only thing that was somewhat edible was the rice. The chicken( both ways) was extremely dry and appeared to be boiled. No color no true flavor, horrible. The stewed beef was even worse, tough, dry and flavorless. The empanadas were inedible. I actually spit it out. My biggest regret was not looking at the food prior to leaving. They were closed once I reached my destination or I would have returned absolutely everything. The portion sizes were also small for the price. I am so upset about my experience here. Never again!
