I tried Crave just two weeks after visiting Japan and I feel very comfortable saying that Crave has the closest to legitimate Japanese ramen. I loved having ramen for lunch while I visited Naha and Tokyo. So finding ramen that was on par with that back home in Rochester was wonderful. The atmosphere at that restaurant was excellent, but we took our food home. They were very busy and the people there were very nice. The only issue was they forgot to put the eggs on both ramen dishes. I only have food 4 because of the egg
spicy miso broth didn't taste miso-y until the bottom of the bowl. broth is a bit watery in general and not spicy at all. pork belly was on the leaner and thinner side, which i liked. right level of salt. bamboo shoots cut oddly and chunkily. mushroom topping - raw??? what? green onion was minimal. egg was not a ramen egg. a skimpy half that was a little overcooked. wavy noodles were fine. maybe a bit too large of a serving.
