This is an awesome joint to go to for their pancakes and their chicken and waffles. The owner told me that if I didn't like their cracked cake that they would immediately close the store; it ended up being an absolute standout.

This spot is a downtown gem! Because I’m vegetarian, I had a waffle with the homemade cinnamon butter and a side of Mac and cheese. Both were super good. It’s not very crowded, has great light, a bright atmosphere, friendly staff, and a giant game of connect 4. I highly recommend this as a go to spot for lunch (or for an ice cream stop with a real waffle cone!). I brought a colleague who got the chicken and said it was great too. Delightful!

Get the Cracked Cake. End of story. The Chicken and Waffles were really good! The waffles were fluffy with a little crisp, the chicken was juicy and everything was fresh, staff was friendly and welcoming.

I randomly found this on the Internet while I was looking for a place to eat while I'm here for only one day. They were preparing for a festival this weekend so they only had the pot roast lunch special available today. That was not a problem because Iwas undecided anyway. The corn casserole should be a dessert item! Best Mac and cheese and with the green beans, mashed yams, rice, pot roast and fixings.... It's the stuff that will put you in a delightful food coma! The portion size is amazing, easily 3 meals for me. I hope to be able to come back bc I really want to try the waffles and chicken.

I prayed twice! I said a prayer before I ate and after the first bite of snapper I bowed my head again!!! I ate and then ordered two more lunch plates to go so my family could enjoy. Everything was delicious! Visiting from FL and I will be back next time we are in town. The atmosphere the people are just bright beautiful and kind. Try everything!
