We used Monroe's for off-site catering for my bridal shower, and it was amazing! Everyone was asking where the food was from, everyone loved it! Would definitely suggest them to anyone. They were so helpful, answered questions quickly via email. Food came hot and ready to serve, and the tin boxes came in carrying boxes for convivence. Definitely plenty of food for everyone. Thank you Monroe's

Absolutely loved the scallops (as always) and the sugar cookie cheesecake feature was the perfect treat to end to our meal! Great service and cozy ambiance, especially in the booths!

A waitress named Alexus (or Alexis) lacked patience with our table, leaving me feeling disappointed. Another waitress claimed she had gone home, but I spotted her still working later on. Jessica, on the other hand, provided excellent service, even though we spent a long time at the restaurant. We got there at 6 did not leave until 9. Despite the negative experience, I won't let it deter me from returning, but as a person of color, it felt like a moment of discrimination. The food portions were good, but I had to send my steak back for being overcooked. Overall, Alexus (Alexis) needs retraining in patience, and the team should work on better communication. And I hope no one else no matter the color of their skin ever feels the same way.

We had my daughter’s baby shower at Monroe’s last weekend and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for it! Our event planner, Natalie, was so incredibly receptive and helpful from the first day I contacted them. She made the planning seamless. Not surprising, the day of the event went exactly as planned. The space was beautiful (The Foyer), the food was delicious and the staff was exceptional! Thank you to everyone at Monroe’s for helping to make the day so special!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options were plentiful

Rochester Hands down, the best french sauce I’ve ever had! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The chicken French was outstanding . Must try!”

I hosted my daughter's baby shower brunch here today. The Vintage room and setup was absolutely lovely. And the food.... Just wow! Their choices for various types of menus were so many, it was hard to choose. The food was excellent. Cranberry blossom salad, amazing. Cutlet sandwiches-Delicious. Stuffed French toast and quiche-also delish! And the servers were very attentive. I was impressed. A very nice day indeed!

Had an engagement party here and everything was beautiful. The upstairs party room accommodated about 40 of us easily and comfortably. The buffet provided a wide selection of entrees and everything was delicious and served hot. I wish I had more room for seconds. Fan faves were the eggplant parmesan, the Italian sausage and peppers, potatoes, and chicken French.A cash bar was provided for the party only and provided more space to gather and socialize.Highly recommend for your special occasion. The restaraunt itself was packed on our way out at 8 pm. It smelled more amazing down in that area. ?

Two friends and I had dinner at Monroe’s the evening of February 21st. We are good friends who look forward to a leisurely get-together once every few months. Our less than stellar experience started as soon as we arrived. We were told that we couldn’t be seated until all three of us were at the restaurant. The restaurant was nowhere near capacity and the fact that we had to hang in the foyer until all three of us were there started the evening off in a negative fashion. When we asked the hostess why, we were told it was “company policy.” We were not made to feel welcome in any fashion. When were seated after all of us had arrived, we were unhappy with our table. The chair seats were very low, and it would have been very uncomfortable to eat dinner there. We politely asked to be moved to a different table for a more comfortable experience. We were moved with an eye roll and a big sigh from the hostess and her assistant. Another big negative. Our server, Sarah, and her trainee, Abby, were lovely. Personable, engaging, and helpful. We placed our orders and shortly after that received our salads. We were not even halfway through our salads when our server came to the table to ask if there was anything she could clear out of our way for dinner. We told her that we were in no hurry, we were enjoying our salads and our conversation and to please make sure our dinners were not coming out for a while.A few minutes later, still about halfway through our salads, our dinners arrived. We told the person delivering them (who turned out to be the manager, Jeremy), that we had asked for the dinners to be held. We were told he couldn’t do anything about that, they were already cooked. After much shuffling of salad plates, our dinners were set on the table. We then had a conversation with Jeremy about our dinner timing requests and how unhappy we were about the apparent disregard for our them. Jeremy had very little compassion or patience for our unhappiness. When we asked when the dinner orders were sent to the chef, he said as soon as the orders were taken, which is a terrible policy, especially in a fine dining establishment. This wasn’t a fast-food restaurant. In addition, we had all ordered rare steaks, which should have only taken a few minutes to prepare and should not have been ordered until salads were finished and cleared.Again, while the restaurant had several customers, it was nowhere near capacity. As we sat at the table with our steaks getting cold, having this discussion we received no good answers or consideration from Jeremy. One of us said that we were not looking for anything free, just registering our concerns and he immediately shot back with the fact that they do not give away anything for free. Rude, and severely lacking in customer service.Sadly, while the food was good and the server and her trainer were lovely, none of us will ever go back to Monroe’s. This is not an inexpensive restaurant and is clearly thought of as a fine dining establishment. They have a long way to go to live up to that expectation.

We had a bridal shower at Monroe's in the Vintage Room. Our coordinator, Natalie was amazing to work with. She was very responsive to calls and emails and provided very professional service. The staff the day of the event were very helpful, attentive and wonderful to work with. The food and desserts was delicious!! Our guests had a great time. I would highly recommend Monroe's and look forward to hopefully having another event there in the future.

First, Natalie was our Coordinator and she was wonderful to work with. We put on Baby Shower Brunch. Monroe’s is stunning and our room was perfect. My son and daughter in law could not attend, but they set up large screen to Zoom them in. Set up perfect, beverages, food, sweets perfect! Staff amazing! Jeremy and Kylie took care of us, always there for what ever we needed! The Staff made our party a success, everyone loved it!

Beyond amazing!!! My fiance and I decided to treat ourselves to a date night here and everything was phenomenal from the food to the service. To start for our drinks we ordered the blackberry mule, and an espressotini, and for appetizers the crab stuffed mushrooms, and the meatball. Then for dinner we got the chicken parmesan, and the 12 oz new york strip steak with the lobster tail, he got the wedge salad, and I got the caesar salad, and I couldn't resist getting the lobster bisque. I cannot even begin to tell you how absolutely delicious everything was!!! It was so good we had to get dessert to go and we went with the coconut cake and peanut butter pie.

service was awful!!! waitress was very rude older lady, no personality. it was my sisters 21st birthday and her and my brothers food was raw so we sent it back ofc and we still ended up paying 70 dollars for 2 plates of gnocchi’s??? that were raw and not ate!!! our reservations were at 7 we didn’t get the food until about 8:30. no bread was there until 7:45 our waitress added food we didn’t order to our check. then the manager came over bec my mom obviously complained about the food we didn’t order that was added to our bill, he was very rude and condescending he crouched down and kept calling my father “buddy” what really upset me is my greens and beans were 40 dollars for one plate. they were absolutely disgusting i took 2 bites there was no flavor at all and the pasta was cold. and the fact i could go to papa joes or bella pasta and get them for less than 13 dollars and they are soooooo much better!!! my chicken pastina had absolutely no pastina in it which was weird and it was just the nastiest soup i’ve ever tasted. definitely need to check ur prices and hire new cooks or get new recipes… something. surprised this place is still in business. will never be back, ever.
