Food was great , great home cooked soul food I got the fried pork chops with dressing , Mac and cheese , yams , and greens and everything was fantastic pork chops nice and crispy fried to perfection and seasoned well , greens were good not too salty like other places also well seasoned , the yams were great nice and soft and sweet but not too sweet. The dressing was good nice taste too it , only thing I would change would be to take the meat out the dressing other then that everything was great. My mom got the fried fish and my girlfriend got the baked bbq chicken and my uncle got the meatloaf everyone said their food was great.

Every time I order they forget something. This last order that I’ll place with them I just wanted two extra pieces of corn bread because I know if I add a side of something it’s not coming. Now, my order arrives I get not one piece of corn bread not even the free piece.

So I Was Very Eager after months to try The food. It looks delicious. FINALLY placed an order thru grubhub. And when I Tell You.....DISAPPOINTED!!!! I tried to call to let them know but no surprise the phone number is disconnected soooooo My turkey Wings Arrived Still Bleeding. VERY unacceptable. Just Ewww.

I was honestly so excited, to try Nellie's based on some of the reviews; however I was unfortunately disappointed. The gravy, was very bland, and the yams tasted as if they were from out of a can. The oxtails had very very little meat, and had nothing but fat on them, making it inedible. Needless to say, I was very disappointed and will not be returning anytime soon. My sisters bbq chicken which was just chicken, with bbq sauce drizzled on it; it was just as disappointing.

When I first ate at this place, it was great. I mean Candy yams were great but lately I’m not sure what’s going on. The mac & cheese was scorch. It was just shells and cheese. The yams tasted as if they were cut up canned Mixture she put pineapples in it to sweeten it up, but you could tell that it was fresh as far as the Pepper, steak and rice. It was OK could’ve been better, but it was OK she made sure that she scraped out just enough to have one more plate full left. Other than that I just was supporting a black owned business it was great when I first ate there going back to it was not sorry to say it, but it was not. I think they could just do a little bit more better a little bit more professional.
Food was spectacular. Definitely gotta come back. I got bbq ribs w/ baked Mac, yams, and some potato salad all for 25 bucks. Should’ve taken a picture but it got housed

If I can give this place 50 stars I would food is very delicious due to my mom being sick I don’t get a nice home cooked meal as I would want the food taste exactly like home definitely coming here more offten

The food as far as taste was good for the most part. However to pay 18$ for a container load with mainly rice… and one turkey wing, when that dinner was ordered specifically… even further, my dinner selection today was because I did not want to cook after working a 24 hour shift because I am tired, and TO SUPPORT BLACK OWNERS even more! I have call the restaurant 3 times, to rectify my order, only to be bear “this number is not in service.” They just lost a customer that paid 75$ for food! #support …tho.
