New City Cafe is a Rochester staple. The food and coffee speak for themselves, but if you need more convincing: this cafe hires and mentors local youth, and they price to accommodate neighbors in need.
Very good coffee and sandwiches. Pleasant space and atmosphere. Staff very nice. We go often. It would be great if they stayed open till 3 or 4. We often like a coffee boost around 2:30 or 3.
They have an online site where you can submit your art for putting up on the art walls. I submitted several pieces of art and never heard back from them after 2 weeks. If they didn't like the art they could have just sent me a message saying they didn't accept it.

Great atmosphere, Samson and his wife Chloe are very friendly and inviting. They talk with people and they promote great values in how they treat people as well as what they stand for. Did I mention the coffee is amazing. They roast the beans right there, which means it's as fresh as you can get. This means you will have great coffee every morning. Great customers too!! We need more places like this!!
