Great staff, great atmosphere, and even better that they're coffee and syrups are fantastic. I got the caramel cappuccino. It's truly an amazing coffee. I love the building, Mercantile, and the atmosphere of the entire space is great. But confusing entering but once you realize it is just a shared merchant space you walk into you will be fine. There is a map when you enter but just walk in and you will see their sign and booth. The staff was very polite and quite helpful. The caramel sauce they use is great. Well worth the addition to your drink. My wife ordered almond milk and chocolate syrup in her cappuccino. They asked immediately if she had any dairy allergies and when she said yes they double checked for themselves that the sauce was dairy free. Very nice. We came right before noon when there was a bit of a lunch rush after us but we were able to get a seat. It was quiet but at noon it got somewhat noisy but perfectly acceptable lunch levels as the space has great acoustics.
After RTS Transit refused to let me in the bathroom, told me to go down the street to a local bodega, who told me there were no public restrooms, then sent me to World Wide News, who told me to piss in the bushes (I’m AFAB and have my period) sent to another location who also told me to piss in the bushes on my period, I ran to Roc Co Co, where a very lovely person was quite understanding, kind and considerate. If I had money to buy a coffee from them I will, definitely next time!! I did not get their name but they had shoulder length curly brown hair. Excellent customer service 💯 will definitely be getting my business in the future
Here for a business meeting and it says open, but no one is here. This is my clients first time here and she was excited to be in the space, have a coffee, bucket list item she stated. Disappointed.
Had a great Carmel latte and a cronut
A great part of the local coffee culture.
Best coffee and batistas in Rochester plus you always will run into someone interesting in the Mechantile. Check this place out!
I tried to go this morning at 7:10 AM in the building so he can’t get in. It didn’t even look like the first was there. They need to update their hours.
Pictures are somewhat misleading. This is a coffee stand inside an office building with a range of other food vendors. A plus, plenty of seating, but if you’re looking for cozy coffee house vibes - this isn’t the spot for you.My latte was drinkable and if I wasn’t a coffee lover I might say it was even alright, but for such a high rating I was really thrown by what I received. Milk was frothed terribly so I basically had a cup of foam, “homemade vanilla syrup” tasted super fake and espresso was nothing to rave about. My husband got an americano and barely got one sip down before we decided to go elsewhere. He said it tasted like water with a hint of espresso. Just approach with your expectations in the right place.

Delicious cronuts, and amazing chai tea lattes and hibiscus lemonade. Fun giant chess board and curling too if you have the time!

I like to treat myself to their lattes every Thursday morning! Their espresso is delicious and they don’t over heat the beans. They also have homemade syrups! Tastes better than Starbucks and is pretty much the same price. I think the employees are wonderful! The woman who makes my drink every Thursday is so sweet, conversational, and great at her job! My favorite spot to get coffee before work!
I went here yesterday for the first time, I tried the lavender vanilla iced coffee and it was absolutely amazing. I loved it so much I came back today and tried the lemon almond cookie iced latte and I was blown away by how delicious it was. I definitely vote this as my new favorite coffee drink anywhere. the barista, Collette is friendly, cool and was very helpful answering questions I had and made my drinks perfectly. I Will be a repeat customer from now on. I wish I had tried this place when I first heard of it, but no better time than now ✨
Really glad we wandered in to check this place out. I usually go to Java's but it's nice to mix things up once in awhile. Latte was really good and the barista explained to us how they rotate between different roasters which is definitely appealing to me. I'll be back for sure...it's a shame it was so quiet in this building on a Saturday because it's a great space.
Beautiful environment
Whenever I am downtown I make a stop here. I love their chai tea with lavender.
