Sals never disappoints. It was my introduction to Rochester almost 30 years ago, my regular Monday night stop while we lived here and a can’t miss when we visit. I’m partial to the Scottsville Rd location since it was always “mine”.
The chicken is delicious. Perfect as always. The sassy saucy is a delectable mix of spicy and sweet. And you can buy bottles of it so we can share even when at home in Taiwan! My favorite is the half chicken dinner with double Mac...

Sal's is a Rochester original. Food is great, portions are large. Meat hot sauce is on point. Whether it's chicken, or a plate you can't go wrong. The potato wedges are perfect. Highly recommended.

Whenever I come in town my first stop is Sal's. I was disappointed; the chicken seems to have been cooked in old grease. It wasn't as good as I remember. This was my 1st time at this location. I will try my usual location before I leave to see if I can get that good ole chicken I love from Sal's.
