Not sure if they were once plant based, but they are not currently. According to the web-site they now serve meat and dairy.
The Sweet Pea meal service is wonderful. The food is delicious. The ordering process is easy and their service is great. The portions are generous, I often get 2 servings out of a dish. Sweet Pea is helping me eat healthy, spend less time cooking and enjoy my plant-based diet with ease.
I have been purchasing from Sweet Pea Plant Kitchen for just a couple weeks now. I am thrilled to have this food available to me, and wish I had tried it earlier. I find the food to be "perfect food." It's delicious. I feel good after eating it. I find it very fun to try different foods and discover my favorites among them. It's RELIEVING to have a variety of meals in the refrigerator that are "the way I want to eat" meals, and that I enjoy so much. When trying to cook a whole foods plant based diet for myself I cooked the same few meals over and over again, finding the preparation and effort of learning how to make other meals overwhelming. Many of these meals can be frozen. One meal lasts for two or three sittings for me. I couldn't be happier with this place and feel very fortunate to have it so accessible to me. Thank you!!!

I've been ordering on and off for a few years now. It's nice to have the meals during the week when my husband and I don't feel like cooking. So far, the Indian and Thai-inspired meals are our favorites!

Changing lifelong eating habits is hard but Sweat Pea Plant-Based Kitchen makes it easier. It felt like too much to dive in and go 100% whole-food plant-based (WFPB) full-time because my husband wasn't on board but I decided to ease into it anyway. My goal was to move the needle. I figured that if I could eat WFPB 2-3 days a week, that might help my metabolic profile, right? So that's how I began. The food was easy to prepare and my husband watched from the sidelines before he became curious and decided to join me. We have inched toward 3-4 days a week (sometimes 4-5) and have both reaped the benefits. We fall off periodically due to unpredictable schedules (summer is hard) but it's easy to jump back on. We have found that transferring a meal to an ovenproof dish and heating it in the oven is best for us because neither of us like the consistency of microwaved food. Either way, the great taste doesn't change. The food is wholesome and delicious! We also like adding variety by splitting two meals in half and get a tasting of both. We definitely fight (lovingly) over our favorites. Most dishes are freezer-friendly so if our plans change during the week, we can easily pop them in the freezer. Sometimes we'll split one and add a baked sweet potato or whatever seasonal vegetables are at the farm stand (we love Sunscape) just to change things up. My advice to anyone who feels like it's too much all at once or who has a reluctant partner, is to ease it in. Life is short... make it longer.
Incredible and super flavorful plant-based meal service! I am vegan; my husband is not, but we both enjoy Sweet Pea's meals.

Sweet Pea offers a delightful departure from the mundane with its flavorful and high-quality dishes. Every night is a new adventure to look forward to!
We have been enjoying Sweet Pea meals for the past few months. Not only do I feel a lot better, but I’ve lost a few pounds. The meals are delicious and only require a few minutes in the microwave. I especially love the burgers and the beet loaf. Nothing is too spicy, so you can always spice it up on your own. No more asking or answering “what’s for dinner!”

I'm doing a plant based challenge at work and ordered breakfasts and lunches from Sweet Pea for 10 days. To my delight everything is tasty. I love having meals prepped for me!
I admit, I scoffed at the idea of plant-based tasting anything near good when I first decided to try the 10 day challenge, but decided to give it my all. OMG! I was WRONG on so many levels! Not only were the meals delicious, but TOFU! Who knew?!? I highly recommend it! The portions were enough for 2 days for me, and that is an added bonus. The granola bars....MMMM!!! I even shared some of the meals and granola bars with my daughter in law (vegan) and she loves them. This is an added bonus for her as she lives right down the street and never knew! Added bonus for me also as she can pick up my order if need be!! Heeheehee!
