I keep going back for the Vegan Lentil Soup, it is the very best Lentil soup that I have ever tasted 😋 You will NOT be disappointed.
Love the veggies for lunch and gluten free cookies / pies.
I know you will see my rating. I am a native of NYC Muslim community. I have taste bean pies, you can improve.
We had a lovely visit today at this bakery, and left with a chocolate chip macadamia cookie and a pecan pie. Both were delicious! The cookie was moist and chewy and the pecan tart was excellent. The owner clearly loves what he does! Definitely don’t hesitate to check this place. Don’t be put off by the beans: they’re terrific in baked goods and you can’t taste them at all, and they add fibre and protein. I would say that even people who don’t typically like healthy baked goods would like these. They’re still plenty sweet and they have great textures. Wish I would have picked up a loaf of banana bread!
Delicious, nutritious, and always makes me feel great! Couldn't have done my Ironman triathlon without this man! The mocha doubles are to die for especially heated up a little, and the healthy bars are uniquely delicious and make my whole body feel great, especially after a long bike or run
This place is so great! Took my elderly mom here for her birthday and she loved the carrot cake. Super friendly and helpful owner-enjoyed chatting with him. The vegan cookies and pies were about the best my partner and I had ever had. Can’t wait to come back and try some of the lunch options-lentils smell amazing. What a terrific spot-highly recommend.
This is a gem of a bakery full of pies, cakes, cookies and other baked goods. I have celiac so finding a delicious, local bakery that’s dedicated gluten free *and* offers dairy free and vegan options is a dream. I had the gluten free cheesecake and my partner had a mocha double chocolate cookie, and with one bite knew we’d be back.
The owner was very welcoming and was happy to make custom baked goods for our specific dietary needs, but we had no trouble finding something from the case. We’ll be back another time to try the café items, which are all vegan and gluten free.
I ordered the red lentil soup, veggies, and ginger turmeric bar, all were wonderful. Thank you for making tasty and healthy vegan food. I look forward to trying more.

As a gluten-free and dairy-free person, it's not always easy to find delicious, nutritious options, but this place hits it out of the park! So far I've enjoyed their ginger turmeric bars and their wonderful teff bread. Dense, moist, full of texture, they're a taste and texture treat. Visit their stall at the Public Market or their Main Street location. You won't be disappointed!

I've purchased goods from the public market location, and they were ok. The bean pie, butternut squash pie, and some of the cookies are good, but the banana bread was a let down. No one in my family, 4 people, enjoyed the banana bread, so I assumed I got one from an older batch. I went in today, and nope, the in store ones looked exactly the same, so I wasn't willing to try it again. Surprisingly this bakery didn't have many more selections than what is offered at the market, so I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here again. In store the had a small lunch combo, which seemed a bit pricey ($18.99)for rice, lentil soup and cabbage. The soup was phenomenal, I would definitley have that again, the rice was extremely undercooked but seasoned well. I had to add about 1 cup of water and cook the rice for another 10-12 minutes at home. I did not try the cabbage, so I can't speak to the flavor, but it looked ok. I did have the hibiscus drink, which didn't have a robust hibiscus flavor that I'm used to, but it was drinkable, though I wouldn't order again.
The customer service is really what leaned the scale towards 3 stars for me. The young man was not rude, but also wasn't pleasant. I know most young adults are building customer service skills, but it's important to have someone with quality people skills at the front of the store. If the food isn't the greatest, but customer service is top tier I am likely to give the establishment a 2nd and even 3rd chance. This restaurant did not meet that standard.
Overall, the restaurant was cute and clean, but could have more variety and better customer service. I would recommend the pies and cookies, not much else.

Ran into it on accident and what a find! Definitely will go back
Special ordered banana bread for my dad with chocolate chips inside. Not only was the bread not tasty it seems he forgot the chocolate chips so he cut the already baked bread opened and shoved chocolate chips inside and closed it. When we tried to cut the bread horizontal it fell open vertically. No chocolate chips throughout.
