We had lived in Pittsford for a while and then moved out of state. Decided to take a trip back and first thing we did when we woke up the next morning was head to Steve’s. To say this place is a gem is an understatement. The food is amazing as is the staff. Every time we fly back this place will always be on our to-do list.
I have visited Steve's on numerous occasions over the years and the breakfast options have always been excellent. However, every time I've ordered a lunch or dinner item, there has been some issue with it. Most recently, I ordered a patty melt cooked medium-well, but what I received was closer to rare or medium-rare. Given this recurring issue, I am unlikely to order anything other than a breakfast item in the future, if I choose to return at all.
This was our first visit to a diner since arriving in Rochester a few weeks ago. I definitely got to scratch an itch I was having for a diner visit. The food was really good--I loved that the green peppers in my Benedict were not cooked to mush and still had some crunch 👌🏽 the atmosphere was cozy, the restroom was clean, and the music was at an acceptable volume. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, especially Gabbie. She was so sweet and patient with my indecisiveness...
