The Union Tavern Reviews
Had a party of 7 go for dinner last night &
had the rudest waitress ever. some of us had questions about the meal that we were interested in ordering and we’re asking questions about it and she gave us rude answers with an attitude. Then after we all got our meals, we all need a different condiments, like mustard, ketchup, barbecue sauce, extra lemon, tartar, sauce, etc, and she was very annoyed that she had to keep running to the kitchen to bring us out our condiments....read full review
Seriously the most Incredible chicken french sandwich I’ve ever had !!!!! I can’t even!!!!! Unbelievable fries , will be recommending 100% out of this world!!
Where do I start? I certainly wouldn't rest my business reputation on Pam, who looks like she's had one too many nights out at the local bowling alley.
When someone (customer) verbally tells you (hostess & waitress) that they've always wanted to come here, wouldn't you want to go out of your way to wow them?
Service- The waitress named Pam whom I would never trust with the sanctity of my business rushed us to ask us what we wanted after we just got our drinks. No...read full review

The Union Tavern offers decent food with two vegan options available. The menu features a variety of dishes, including the highly praised Fish Fry and the incredible chicken french sandwich, which has received enthusiastic recommendations. The fries are consistently excellent—crispy, salted just right, and without the need for ketchup. The establishment also boasts an extensive beer and cocktail list, with favorites like the Three Heads Blueberry Belgian Waffle Cream Ale. The cozy atmosphere reflects its mid-1800s building, creating a warm setting reminiscent of the 60s Seabreeze heyday, making it perfect for early dinners.
Service can sometimes be a bit overwhelmed or slow, especially when busy, and at times, orders may be delayed or items missed. However, staff members, including the wonderful bartender Kym, are generally friendly and try their best. The food is often hot, fresh, and tasty, with some dishes like pot roast being particularly good, though some items like pan-seared fish may be dry. The house tartar sauce and hot fries add extra flavor, elevating the meal. Customers have raved about the Union burger with fries, appreciating its perfect portion size and delightful flavors.
Despite some shortcomings, the friendly service and nostalgic ambiance make it a place worth visiting. Many customers look forward to returning for different dishes and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, making it an excellent spot for lunch, dinner, or just hanging out.
