First time at Thurston Seafood after an airport drop off of a friend. I have a love for seafood ~ fried being at the top of my list. I also grew up having kin that knew how to prepare and cook fresh seafood. It’s all about the coating when fried. You need just the right amount of seasoning to bring out the flavor, not overpower it. My ocean perch and seafood was cooked just right, but it was missing something. I found it to be a bit bland (but still good!); the same w/the french fries as they needed just a touch of salt. I think a light hand w/some seafood seasoning mix would have made the generous portioned meal perfect.
The woman that took my order was very nice. The place appeared to be quite clean (it is take out only), and there was a fairly steady steam as I ate my meal in the parking lot, finishing just before 5:00 pm.

Went looking for a new place to get Fish Fry and found Thurston, so glad we did. The beer battered fried haddock was excellent. Large portions of both fish and fries. It's take out only - worth it.

They slacking will not buy again. Scallops was not real fish was old and Mac salad was watered down 😡🤬a waste of money

Great, friendly, and clean place for fish. My family had their fish fry every week during Lent. We'll be back the rest of the year too!

Wow The fish pieces are huge and the French fries were fried to perfection had a crunch on outside and soft on inside , fish had a nice cornmeal batter and fresh and seasoned just enough , They are really nice warm friendly people, I'd definitely recommend this place☺️❣️

Fish was fresh, grits were good, and my 4-year old enjoyed it.
I heard good things about their fish dinners. Unfortunately, when I arrived, they were out of fish. However, they were very welcoming and polite. The establishment was clean. I would try them again.
