We were really looking forward to our dinner last night, especially since this was our first time visiting the new location. Unfortunately, the experience fell short in several areas. Right off the bat, the ambiance was underwhelming. The old location had a charming Italian atmosphere, which seems to have been completely lost in the new space. Instead, it felt more like an industrial-style sports bar—minus the sports. It was loud, echoey, uncomfortably warm, and the seating was not comfortable. The décor didn't help much either, failing to create any inviting or cohesive vibe. To make matters worse, as soon as we walked in, we were hit with the unpleasant smell of old fish and grease. Service was very slow and not attentive—it took nearly an hour to receive our food, and once it arrived, it was mediocre at best. The prices felt steep for the quality we received. This was a letdown, especially considering how much I enjoyed the previous location. I had hoped for a similarly enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to expectations.
The service was great and the food was too. It was VERY loud, but it seems like everywhere is very loud these days.
Food was nothing special. Service was excellent but the noise level was deafening. It is not an Italian restaurant - so don't go expecting traditional pasta dishes
We really enjoyed our meals - nice ambiance although very loud and difficult to hear each other over the noise. Service was fine although we were disappointed that the high top we reserved was not available and there was no mention of the special occasion that we noted in our reservation. It's pricey but we will be back again.
We had a very good experience at Tony Ds. We asked to move outside and got served at the bar before we did. The wait staff was efficient and fun. The food was delicious- especially the crispy artichokes. We enjoyed the experience and will return.
Great space and bar. The food is good, pricing is a tad on the high side though. The Pat LaFrieda burger was very good.
I've been involved with restaurants, food, and cooking food for most of my life. Regarding Italian approach to any seafood item including seafood with pasta - mixing parmesan or any cheese is a no-no. Seasoned bread crumb toppings are the right garnish. The spaghetti with clams was only average and the cheese garnish was a mark against it.
First time at this new location. Staff was attentive and appropriately timed. Food was excellent and our waiter Ryan was very good. The baked clams app and seafood special was delicious. Ryan brought us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. We will be going back again and bring some friends.
We are visiting from out of town, picked Tony D’s to try . Will not disappoint drinks top notch especially the expresso martinis ! Everyone behind the bar was friendly and kind! We ordered pasta dish and meatballs with ricotta! Both were amazing! Thank you for a fun time ! When in Rochester a must visit!
This place is a great place to meet with friends for dinner! Food is amazing and bartender excels the cocktails. Love Nick!

Definitely have had better experiences at Tony D's. For the price we paid for a pizza, salad, calamari & a couple of glasses of wine we wished it was better. We went early before a show, reservation at 5:30.
Everything was incredible. Reasonably priced, considering how amazing everything was. The fried mozzarella was insanely good.
Waiter took our plates off the table as soon as we got there. Was sooooo loud couldn't hear anyone talk. No bread and butter before dinner. No salt on the table. Took our glasses and didn't bring any refills. Also never put our order in for meatballs and then when he realized after we asked he apologized and said that was his fault but yet didn't take them off the bill as compensation. Will not be returning. Overpriced as well. Food was just eh and limited menu. Not great at all.
Our server Jack was excellent along with the food! We had a lovely time and it was a perfect end to his birthday!
Three of us sat in the bar area at our own table. We never had a waitress come and ask what we wanted to order, so we had to go to the bar and get it from our bartender.
A few of the older local Italian men kept coming to our table. I'm sure they found us quite interesting like fresh meat… Lol.
It was amusing at first until they were monopolizing our time too much, then it became a bit annoying 🤪
