“I come to the area maybe 2-3 times a year for softball tournaments and I never miss an opportunity to stop in at Valkyrie for coffee. I love their specialty coffees and last visit I took a gamble and purchased a bag of coffee to take home with me (they were kind enough to grind for me). Well, here I am on their site ordering 2 more bags for delivery since I won't be back in the area for a few months. The Brazilian Salmo is delicious!”

“This place was packed when we arrived but we were able to get a table. The staff here make this place the best place in the area. They are so kind, so friendly, and so wonderful. We got a house appetizer that was so good, I don't remember what I was eating but I wanted a full plate of it. They have sushi as well as some decent looking food from the kitchen. I had sushi and it was good. Fish felt fresh.”

Staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating about dietary restrictions but somewhat inattentive and slow about bringing needed/requested items (e.g. salad dressing, sugar for tea). Wasn't too busy when we were in but could have been short staffed. Overall recommend. It's a cute place.

“10/10! First and foremost, this place is so squeaky clean you could eat off the floors. The service staff is terrific and the food is out of this world. Try the Samosas- the pastry is fresh, flaky, buttery and melts in your mouth while the insides are perfectly seasoned (some of the best we've ever had). Dipped in the green chutney or the plum sauce and you're in Heaven. We had the Chicken Rogan Josh and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Along with a Garlic Naan (omg...) All were phenomenal. The chicken was tender, not at all dry, and the sauces were delightful. And can we talk about the Basmati rice... not something that would 'pop' off the menu, but it does. Not only is it cooked perfectly (not a single grain was clumped) but it was also seasoned and so flavorful. A lot of restaurants will skip seasoning the rice as a shortcut & savings, but not this one. It's the little details that make the difference. Great price point as we not only had dinner, but enough leftovers for the BOTH of us for lunch today. Looking forward to going back.”

Stopped off there for breakfast on our way to Cooperstown with 2 Buddies and when Shakira was bringing our drinks, my one Buddy stretched and knocked over the drinks that Shakira was carrying and they spilled on her. Shakira didn’t bat an eyelash and laughed about it and remained extremely professional during that accident!!! Great service by her even with that incident happening!!! “Chester Ice Cream has the BEST salted caramel, gram slam, and soft serve vanilla ice cream around! And I’ve tried others-Goshen, Florida, Middletown, Pine Bush and Bloomingburgh. There is no comparison to the creaminess and flavor like here. You will not be disappointed.”
