Roasters has that perfect local community vibe that makes you want to linger - staff is warm and friendly and the owner puts so much heart into the place, from the thoughtful seasonal decor to the consistently great service and coffee. The iced dirty chai latte is a special treat, and my dog always gets a pup cup (even when she doesn’t ask for one!). Love this neighborhood gem.

I used to eat at this location all the time and was sorta enjoying it. I’m new to far Rockaway so getting to know all the hot spots to eat here has been a challenge because most places are overcharging because they claim it’s all “FRESH” ingredients. I think it’s just a play on the convenience and not having many options out here. Neither here or there. . . One day they messed up my order and I was also having a really bad day. I called to let them know it was messed up and they refunded me right away. The following visit after I went in person to show them a photo to prove I was being honest and I wasn’t lying but they didn’t really seem to care and even had a bit of an attitude when serving me. I also would call before hand to place my order and I noticed after the incident they stopped answering my call for take out. I know this to be true because I would call from any number but mine other days just to confirm my suspicion and turns out I was right because they picked up every number BUT mine. One day I went to ask them about it and the guy (Louis) who’s usually real chill told me word for word “ We don’t always have time to answer the phone especially if we’re busy” as if he didn't hear me say I called from other numbers to confirm my suspicion and it seems like it’s just my number that’s not getting answered. I let it go and remained friendly. I wanted to write a review about my experience but wanted to see if this weird energy would just go away but it never did. I decided to stop doing business there because it seemed like I was being punished for my order being made incorrectly. Not to worry I can just make a waffle at home instead of paying $15 for it 🤷🏾‍♂️

Great place, AC on blast on a hot day! Ordered Pitaya bowl and nitro ice coffee. I recommend that. Price average, not cheap nor expensive.

When I walked in I was immediately given the rudest stare possible by a white woman working there. After that I ordered a sandwich, the lady who made my food said “be careful it’s extra juicy” and wrapped up my food to give it to me. When I left and opened it I only found half a sandwich. To me, given the nature of how all the workers were laughing and treating me I don’t believe this was an accident. I wasn’t rude at all just confused at first where the cash register was, I said please and thank you and smiled and apologized for being confused so there was no rudeness on my end to warrant this behavior. I have tried to call to tell them about the sandwich and no one picked up even though they are open.

I love it here. The staff is so friendly and warm. Good vibes. Their nitro cold brew is one the best nitro cold brews I’ve ever had. So freaking smooth and the right amount of nitrogen. We also always get their protein energy balls - so delicious. Thank you Rockaway Roasters! Good seating inside too.

Great place to grab a coffee before heading to the beach! We also came here in the winter and it was a good place to get a hot coffee and walk around. They decorate the giant coffee cup outside depending on the season. :)

Great place! The barista greeted me with a smile and recommended his favorite energy bar with mango and coconut—such a good choice. The space is cozy, clean, and has a really comfortable atmosphere. I’ve added it to my favorites, and whenever I’m in Far Rockaway, I’ll make sure to stop by!

One star for delivery missing item and when I called whoever was on the phone forgot and couldn’t care less. Avocado toast was soggy. Save your money. Unfortunately there aren’t many options in Rockaway but I’ll go hungry rather than order from here again due to the idgaf attitude of little miss over the phone.

New ownership is killing it, loving this local staple more than ever. Way better than the coffee chains. Check them out!

I’ve been coming to Rockaway Roasters for nearly ten years, and I’m a big fan! I stop by a few times a week, and it only gets better. Under the new ownership, the place is better than ever—the quality of food and drinks is top-notch, and the staff is always welcoming and dedicated to great service.

My go-to orders are the açaí bowls, egg and cheese croissant, coffee, and energy balls, and they never disappoint. Whether I’m grabbing a quick bite or a coffee, I always leave happy. It’s one of my favorite spots in the area!
