Best place on the boardwalk. Try one of their frozen mashups or sangria. The arepas and empanadas are good and filling. Can’t wait for summer 2024!

Delicious! There was updating their food and drink menu, and the selection is amazing

I had a most delicious arepa here over the summer. Would eat again any time! I loved that I could order online and pick up without going inside anywhere.

White rice, black beans, fries, two hotter sauces, mango slushie, Venezuelan background music music : everything I wished for Labor Day at Rockaway.

The atmosphere here is good. It is at the beach, after all. The Arepa was good. I got the El Gato, it had Cheese, Plantain and Avocado. My mom had the Fish Arepa and she liked it. Our friend had the Chicken Empanada, which she enjoyed. The Arepa were a little pricey for their size but they were pretty full so I guess that justifies the price. The beer were a good price. However don't expect any drink here with hard liquor. They have Frozen Sangria and canned wine, which was pricey. It's counter service and they have communal picnic tables. The people are friendly. The music left something to be desired. We're glad we tried it, not sure if we'd go back. Never say never.

This is our favorite place to get lunch when at the beach. Unlike many beach restaurants, the food is amazing and not the usual deep fried heavy dishes. The arepas are delicious and there are a few vegetarian options too. Try their house sauce!Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options here. Not sure they can make them vegan.

One of the main reasons I make the trek out to Rockaway from Manhattan is just for these arepas. The perfect corn shell is just the right consistency and ratio for the large amount of meat the arepas are stuffed with. I only wish I could eat more than one in a sitting so I could try more varieties. The #1 pabellon is definitely a must-get. The chicken on the regular menu comes cold (not my jam) but they did have a hot chicken special one time that was very good and I hope they add to the permanent menu. They have multiple vegetarian options that I'm sure are fabulous (Plantains! Mushrooms!) but I have never been swayed to order in lieu of a meaty option. The frozen slushies are great too - the flavors rotate and I've had both the coconut and mango. On a good day we stay long enough to have an arepa for lunch and an arepa for dinner, but I still need more of these in my life.

Was okay, nothing to write home about, nothing worth getting again. Not bad, not good, just eh.

Over a decade ago, I stumbled upon this hidden gem, and I was immediately captivated by the concept of a sandwich version of arepas. The masterful blending of ingredients creates a symphony of flavors in each bite, heightened by their delectable sauce. Beyond this discovery, I've explored their year-round establishments in both Brooklyn and Manhattan. Regrettably, the Brooklyn location has since closed its doors, yet the borough now boasts a burgeoning Venezuelan culinary scene to delve into.Their frozen Sangrias, with their potent and captivating flavors, come highly recommended. During my most recent visit, I observed the staff grappling with maintaining the ambiance—music skipping and speakers showing the wear of many years of use. Nevertheless, I found solace in being present there. While Rockaway Beach isn't my preferred destination, this establishment makes the journey worthwhile, in my opinion.

Good food but wildly expensive. Also the tip prompt on the iPads is like 20, 22, and 25%, rather than set 1, 2, or $5 amounts. For a place with paper plates and no table service it's kind of awkward to prompt people with 20% tips.

Love this place. Heavenly fresh food and great drinks. Walk up to this place on the boardwalk over eating in town, it's so wonderful and they always have live music

If you’re Spanish and like flavor in your food do not come here. Food tasted bland the drinks are $12+ and they don’t even give you a buzz. The older guy who’s the owner had such a nasty attitude with most customers on line, it was embarrassing to see. Go to the Rockaway bazaar bar on 97th st which is what I did after and I promise you you’ll get your moneys worth.

This is my favorite spot to get food when I go to Rockaway Beach! They used to have other locations but unfortunately this is the only spot left. I'm obsessed with the Arepas and their signature sauce. Can't wait to buy a bottle when I bring my cooler next time (they suggested I purchase it before I leave the beach since it needs to be refrigerated).Vegetarian options: Yummy vegetarian options, too!
