The food is good, the service is excellent, and the location is central. What's not to like?

Have been to George Martin before. This time, attended with friends I hadn't seen in years. We informed the waiter from the beginning that we hadn't seen each other in quite some time and we needed some time just to catch up first. The waiter kept returning every few minutes for our order, and we had to keep apologizing that we weren't ready yet. This happened at least four times within the first 20 minutes or so. When we were finally ready to order, the waiter wouldn't come over. We made eye contact, we did a little friendly wave, but he clearly was 'teaching' us a lesson about not ordering when he wanted us to order. Shame on him, because we alerted him at the beginning. I just hope the woman 'trailing' him that evening doesn't take on his bad serving habits. While I would go to the restaurant again, if I saw we had the same waiter, I would absolutely insist on not having him as our server. Petty? Maybe. But it was remarkably uncomfortable going through it.

What a huge disappointment. We were 3 ladies for lunch at 1. Waited awhile to order. Waited almost an hour for 2 salads and a shrimp cocktail. Horrible service, no apology, no let me check on the food, no bread, no checking on us once we finally got food. Another table was also complaining that they had to wait a long time. Shrimp weren’t good. Wouldn’t recommend

Savory food with rapid service time.

Service was very slow, waited 45 mins for our main. Ordered the steak medium and it came rare! Had to send it back and did not even get an apology. Was very disappointed won't be going back for a while if at all.

Affordability is not on this menu. We have been going to this place forever. But while we were sleeping their prices went through the roof. We ordered with another couple two rib eye steaks to share two baked potatoes to share, a side of cream spinach, and salad and 1 shrimp cocktail.
I shop for my family and a nice size potato cost about 99 cents. We were charged $ 24.00 for two potatoes! When we asked the manager why so high and what comes with our steaks she said nothing. We asked why do you mark up a potato 1100% …. She said well if you ask for butter and sour cream plus labor it ads up. We said an eleven hundred percent markup? The meal was not totally over priced but you paid through the nose for a rib eye steaks, coffee and felt nickeled and dime d! The give you a bill with which expects you to give a tip including and on the tax. We go to the Palm and other great steak houses but this bill was plain stupid! We will never come back after the over charges we paid. They are snotty and think they are the be all! On top of all of this the service started out great then fell apart. We specifically and politely asked for the billion dollar potatoes to be cut in half and then grilled so they were brown they came to the table hardly touched so we sent them back. That took almost 10 minutes. We ordered two steaks med. Rare to med.. they came rare in one and med in the other. We just switched with our friends but the meat was getting cold.
The end of this fake steak house we ordered two carpaccios but it took 10 minutes for a slice of cheese cake to arrive and a key line pie. By then the coffee was cold. The waitress was nice but truly overwhelmed. She only replaced one coffee. Places like this should not charge outrageous prices unless the service is outstanding. The service was on par to a fancy dinner. I took a photo of our bill and with tip we could have gone to a high end steakhouse and been happy. We didn’t share because of price… we shared because between Bread,salad, main course and veggies it was a lot of food certainly not worth shy of $500.00
Especially on a holiday weekend. SHAME ON THIS PLACE. They are unpredictable unprepared and out for big bucks with out delivering the goods! 1 star overall!

Wonderful dinner yesterday at George Martin The Original Food,service and atmosphere was perfect It was my wife's birthday and they included a candle with our dessert without asking Awesome

Service was very pleasant as well as helpful, all of the food ordered from starters to dessert were absolutely delicious !

Excellent food and Excellent service. George Martin is consistently a go to destination for dinner.

I think I expected a lot more for the price. Food was good but not great.
