“In a quest to find “REAL “ whitefish salad, I followed a friend’s suggestion and tried Cafe 17A. Amazing! This past weekend I tried several other salads- Vegetable Tuna, Chicken Salad, Egg whites and spinach, Egg salad and mushrooms and of course sliced Nova and home made cream cheeses. My guests raved! Everything is fresh, and homemade with Love by Scott, the owner. Thanks Scott, - can’t wait to return- You’ve definitely nailed it”

“I came here for fresh seafood and ended up purchasing several prepared food items, since those are easy and looked well made. I tried both seafood and vegetable dishes. All were fresh and tasted delicious. I care about fresh seafood. Prices are not cheap, but with seafood, quality really matters. There also appears to be a sushi restaurant onsite, which I'll have to try next time I'm in town. Roslyn is fortunate to have several local gourmet markets and this counts.”

“Outstanding food and service. We enjoyed the entire experience. Food was exceptional as the salad had many different flavors and textures. We enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana and veal parmigiana that we each had with spaghetti. The dessert that we shared of chocolate mousse was amazing as we enjoyed each bite. In addition, the wine with the meal and the green teas were delicious as well. I highly recommend and look forward to returning soon.”

“Super busy place but so worth it !! So many options, fresh food, tasty food, everything is labeled and easy to order once you have someone helping you. So many different stations to order food from, sandwiches, smoothies, salads, dessert. Small area to eat in and one bathroom. There is always someone cleaning up the tables which is nice.”

Kid-friendliness: I came here as a kid. They made a Shirley Temple for me. Great vanilla ice cream. I’m 61 now and I think the staff is the same. Is that possible?

“Just stopped in today to try some of their breads like the olive loaf. The lady behind the counter saw my kids and said they have to try the cookies. So I bought one for them to share. I’ve never had a Chocolate chip cookie like this. It’s amazing. Needless to say I bought three more to take home. Awesome staff and delicious food.”
