Don't buy iced tea here. Get it at the deli next door.

Every time in the past 6 months that we have tried to order or go here it's closed during open hours. It's closed right now, 12pm on a Thursday. It was closed 11am on a Saturday and 10am on a Sunday (I think we tried going twice). We really did like this place but we are going to give up.

you'd have to pay me to eat at this shithole again. i usually don't leave reviews- nonetheless BAD ones- but this place is so remarkably terrible, but i would legitimately feel bad suggesting that anybody else eats here. food came out cold and with scraps on the plate as a portion. the place LOOKED clean but while i was there another customer apparently (and undoubtfully) saw a couple roaches scurrying around. and in case that wasn't enough, the owner is immature and unprofessional. maybe grow up before you decide to run a business?

The food is great, the food service is so slow. The servers are extremely friendly and sweet. Just not worth the time.

Frustrating to say, I’ve never actually been able to try the food. I work down the block and often try to order Uber Eats but they’re always “closed”. Must not need my business that bad.

Eggs were not fresh and gave me a terrible bout of food poisoning. Service was short and we felt rushed. Had hoped for a better experience, will not be returning.

Different food combination.

This is a little gem in saint James. The service was awesome and the food something different and delish. If you want a Kitchi earthy place with home-cooked food this is the place.

Just took out from SJ7,our second time doing so. Another excellent meal! Their menu skews toward breakfast, but there are some really solid lunch choices, and they add a few dinner choices on the weekend. It's great for my family who can eat breakfast 4 times a day, while I prefer not to mix my breakfast with my lunch with my dinner. There's something slightly elevated about each menu choice. The tandoori fried chicken is unlike any crispy chicken sandwich I've had. Subtly spiced and delicious. Ditto the buttermilk chicken sandwich, thin and crispy, with a flavorful chipotle mayo. The cowboy burger was perfectly done, with smoky bacon, a tangy bbq sauce and an excellent homemade slaw. The Brussels sprouts were tossed with a delicious sweet bacon jam. All were accompanied by thin, crisp, fresh cut fries that are worth coming for on their own. (They warmed up beautifully in the air fryer.) On the breakfast front, the biscuits and gravy were as they should be- creamy, peppery and filling. The waffle was substantial, with more of a pancake texture than a typical Belgian waffle. My picky daughter approved. The restaurant itself is very cutely decorated and much larger than the storefront suggests. Lots of room to spread out and dine distanced from others, if you are comfortable doing so. My wife and I are both vaccinated and will be dining in for breakfast to support this neighborhood restaurant shortly. At breakfast time, of course. ;) WORTH THE TRIP!

Had high hopes for this place because of good reviews and photos, but I was incredibly disappointed. Overpriced and not good. Paid $70 for two salads and a bowl of old looking sweet potatoes, some beans, old frozen chicken, and a sliver of avocado. It had no flavor whatsoever and the chicken was disgusting. Could have made it better at home. The salad had old wilted arugula in it that we had to pick out. Waited 30 minutes for our food. Sever was nice but service was slow. Definitely will not be going back here. I’m mad we even had to pay for that.

Had a lovely outdoor meal late afternoon. Our waiter was wonderful! He made great recommendations and checked on us often. I started with a latte that warmed me up. There were 3 of us and we shared the Town Drunk Benedict, California Bowl, Breakfast Burrito and Brussels Sprouts~ every bite beautiful and delicious! Sorry only 2 pics- we were too hungry to wait! We finished with the Lemon Ricotta waffles as a dessert!

This is a local cafe, owned by local people, and although they opened when Covid hit, they have been consistently running a great place. The menu is original and fun, food is great, and everyone there is accommodating and personable. Have been several times, and never disappointed. Highly recommended, especially I'd you feel that supporting a great local business is a good idea.

My daughter and I ate here for lunch. We ordered the chicken sandwich with fries. It was delicious. The service was great. Definitely going back.
