Husk and Vine Kitchen and Cocktails

We had dinner there tonight for the first time and it will not be our last. Absolutely adorable back room ambiance and both the food and the service were fantastic! Bella was our waitress and she was outstanding. Patient, extremely knowledgeable and helped us explaining many menu items helping us make our selections. The food was sooooo good. Homemade cornbread to die for. I would give the truffle macaroni and cheese was a 10!!! The garlic Parmesan wings delicious and also the spinach and artichoke pizzetta. We had white sangria that was awesome as well as apple crumb pie Ala mode. Every single item was really honestly so delicious!!!! We enjoyed our experience and will definite back again!

I’ve dined at Husk and Vine at least four times, so I have a pretty good feel for the place. Starting with my favorite item the garlic parmesan wings these are absolutely amazing. The portions are generous, making them great for sharing. Another standout dish is the filet mignon tidbits, which come with mashed potatoes. The meat is flavorful and tender, making it a solid choice.

On the other hand, the burgers were just okay I was expecting a bit more. The mac and cheese, however, is excellent and definitely worth ordering. Unfortunately, the drinks were a big letdown. The margaritas, in particular, were disappointing, and I’d skip the cocktails altogether next time.

Service wise, the staff is friendly and welcoming, but the wait for food is consistently long, which can be frustrating. Overall, we keep coming back because we live in the area and the food itself is generally good, but I’d love to see them improve the speed of service and drink quality.

We came here for dinner tonight. It was amazing and we will be back.

We had my daughter in laws baby shower at Husk and Vine on 4/5/25. EVERYTHING was amazing . The food was delicious . We had shareable plates throughout the party and everyone loved it We had a variety of different plates and every one of them were amazing . The service was exceptional . The staff was professional and personable . The owner Maria did an amazing job. Everything ran smoothly . The guest all raved about it and said they would be back for dinner . Thank you Maria and staff for making Brittany’s day perfect . We will definitely be back

Worst bartenders ever. They seemed more into trying not to work and go home than making drinks and getting tips. There's nothing worse than going to a bay that's slow and having the drinks messed up 3 times. One bartender looked right at my friend trying to order drinks and turned and walked away. Pass on ever going here again.

OMG!! Must try calamari and seasonal martini and the entire menu is simply amazing. The staff and ambiance are the best!! This is our goto place and highly recommend. And yes, don't forget to say hi to the owner

We met friends for dinner and wow this place did not disappoint!! All of our food selections were off the “What's New and Exciting” section and what a great choice. This section is changed weekly so you know you’ll get some unique selection. Justin was an our waiter and he recommended an amazing dessert Macedonian Cookie make sure you save room for this!

Went here with the girls for dinner/drinks and it was so good! The menu had so many options for drinks and food, you will definitely not have a hard time finding something that you like. Very cute inside and everything we ordered was delicious! We went on a Saturday night around 6:30pm. When we got there it was pretty quiet, but when we left around 7:30pm it was very busy, so I definitely recommend making reservations! Service was also great even when it got busier! Overall, great experience here!

I went to Husk and vine last Friday night and the food was absolutely phenomenal and the drinks were absolutely delicious. We had the bang bang shrimp, the filet mignon Tib bits brussels sprouts and a beer cheese pretzel and it was heaven. I will be returning to husk and Vine as a regular if you haven’t already tried this place go check them out.

We had my daughter's bridal shower at Blue Blind mansion/Elks club in Smithtown on 9/14/24. Husk & Vine Restaurant & Catering in St James, NY does exclusive catering for this venue. Maria/owner held my hand from Start to finish! She assured me from our very first meeting that this would be an amazing event for my daughter and she did not lie! We hit it off immediately! Maria knew how important it was for me to throw an amazing bridal shower for my only daughter and she and her staff certainly made it happen and than some! She even helped me decorate the day before! The garden room was fabulous. The food was abundant and delicious. They even made gluten-free options for some of my guests! The staff was suburb and right on top of everything! This event was a Saturday 12:30 brunch held in BB Mansion green room & Bar area. (We had 39 people) There was an omelette station w/Chef, parfait station w/Yogurt, granola, huge bowl of strawberries and blueberries. Bakery station: there were assorted muffins, bagels and pastries. Then there were chafing dishes: I choose to have delicious chicken francese, eggplant rollatini, penne Ala vodka and burnt Brussels sprouts (That was to die for!) The beautiful cake from Whisk bakery in Commack was decorated to match our theme & was delicious. Everything was above and beyond what I could have expected. We brought in Tammy from Mysucculentshop.com (find her fabulous service on Instagram) to do a succulent bar and Maria happily accommodated her every need. (Note: wooden tags from inside succulents were beautiful and from NateyandBode.com). Maria's staff even helped me pack up all my stuff and bring it to my car! Doug, you are the greatest! You have an Eagle eye for detail!! Mike the bartender, Chef and Evan the waiter were wonderful also!
If you are having a small or large event, You MUST check out this venue. You will not be disappointed! I am very hard to please, and I am extremely happy with what I received for my daughter and my guests! Let me mention that they do have a large piece of property with a Tent with a concrete floor underneath, a Large brick barbecue and picnic tables outside if you're looking to have a picnic, reunion or any kind of outside event. This place has it all! What a gem!!!! Also let me mention that Husk & Vine Catering beat any price of any other venue that I went to! I got the most bang from my buck here! I was so very happy because budget was tight!!!!!
The amazing balloon arch was done by Christina Spano at pump'd up events Kings Park NY (You can find her on Facebook, that's where I found her) Another gem!
I hope the pictures help. I did a lot of research before I decided on a venue & went on other people's recommendations and reviews as well. Their pictures helped me a lot!

Incredible restaurant and bar. Great food and drinks, great service and great decor and vibe! We will definitely be back.

The food is absolutely amazing. They have so many options that you wouldn’t see at your typical restaurant. I was there last night and the atmosphere is great with the live music. I am a returning customer and will definitely be back again and again! Love this place!
