It was busy and loud - I was seated at a high table adjacent to the bar. My waitress was a bartender who also needed to wait the outer tables. Needless to say, this didn't make for good service. The wine i was served was not the wine from the menu. The menu said my short rib was served over polenta (which turned out to be a polenta cake, not the creamy polenta I expected). My friend and I dined here with minimal expectations based on the fact that we live in areas that have very good Italian food. We were blown away! We both ordered cocktails (delicious) and pasta and loved everything. The bolognese was top 5 of all time! We would definitely revisit if we were back in the area.
Food was very good. My husband's steak was cooked medium RARE as ordered and not medium/well which happens too often. My spaghetti with scallops and clams was very good. Do not expect clam sauce, the flavor is delicate scallops. I started with the delicious octopus appetizer and finished with profiteroles for dessert. The profiterole was without ice cream.
