Dock Brown's on Saratoga Lake

The food was fine, but it took quite a while to come out even though the restaurant wasn't very busy. We also found ourselves needing to ask multiple times for plates, silverware, and eventually the bill. At first, we assumed the delays might have been due to being short staffed, but it seemed like the team was more focused on socializing than serving guests. We used to really enjoy coming here, but unfortunately, our last few visits haven't been as positive, and it feels like the overall experience has slipped.

Was seated right away, table was sticky, waiter was a bit too quick, did not get to order an appetizer. But meal came, everything was cooked perfectly. Lake was pleasant, weather was present. Waiter then checked us out without asking if we wanted dessert or refills of water or drinks.

For those of us in the Capital District of NY who forward to either a top rate fish & chips or lobster roll, there is no need to drive to the coast. You will not find any better anywhere. The view of Saratoga Lake is great fun (the worse the weather, the better) and the service is always terrific.

We enjoyed seating on the deck as the sun was setting over Saratoga Lake. The fish portion of the Fish and Chips was massive. Quinn was an awesome server.

Excellent restaurant. Visiting Saratoga with five former college roommates from the 1970s. Seated promptly where we wanted to be seated on the outside deck overlooking the lake. Orders for drinks and food taken promptly and everything delivered promptly by our outstanding waitress. I highly recommend the fish and chips. Crust was very crispy and the fish was light and fluffy. As good as I've ever had. Quiet on the deck so we could communicate effectively with one another.

We made reservations for four and to have an outdoor table. It was a beautiful day and you can't beat dining while looking at water. Our server, Matt, was a very polite and friendly young man. We have never not had a pleasant experience at Doc Brown's.

Always a wonderful experience at Dock Browns. All of the staff is wonderful and you can tell they love working there. They work well together are always very friendly and inviting to all of their guests. Going there for dinner is like “coming home” The owner Michelle is as kind to her staff as she is welcoming to every one of her guests. Definitely check it out and dine here.

Prompt and friendly service. Clean roomy establishment. Great view of the lake and boats. Lobster tots were so good we ordered another plate. We had the hot lobster rolls. I had a lot of lobster meat! I was able to give 3 claws to my daughter and still had a hefty roll. The roll is same avg price as most lobster roll places. It's unusual to get A LOT of lobster meat in most establishments. We will be returning soon!

Awesome! We love it!!! Everyone is courteous. The menu is great and the food is the best ever with the Kitchen.

Great atmosphere. Great view, we ate on the deck. Great food. Our waiter was very personable. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, will return, and would recommend it to anyone!

It is one of our all-time favorite places. We both dine-in or, when we make it our evening motorcycle ride stop, take-out and seat outside on the lakeside benches. You cannot beat dining experience with the magical sunset over Saratoga Lake in the background from their outdoor deck/patio. Many times there are nice live music too. They are maintaining their excellent quality over the years. Great value for everything.

The Fried Fish was delicious and HUGE. As always the fries were heavenly and the spicy margarita really hit the spot. It was the fourth of July and busy, but our server, Billy, was ever attentive. I always try to go back at least once a summer.
