Great down-home style restaurant. Super fast service friendly staff. Order the wings as an appetizer. We're cooked just right, not too crispy. Collar greens are excellent. Had the shrimp and scallops in a creamy sauce with local homemade pasta. Was very good and not too rich. Chicken and waffles were also very good.

We really enjoyed Hattie's! Everything was very tasty. The fried chicken skin was perfectly crispy. Typically we eat dark meat, but hubby had the chicken breast & ate the whole thing. Mac N cheese is pricey, but glad I allowed myself to splurge on it, Lol. The collards taste different than any we've had before. They're good, but sweet & personally it was too much sweet with the sweet potatoes as a 2nd side dish. 1/2 way through I was wishing they had the traditional salty, meat taste I'm accustomed to. Hubby ordered red beans & rice as a side. They were very good. Unfortunately he couldn't eat them because he didn't realize they were spicy. We really appreciate that they swapped them for another side dish he could eat without any hesitation! We would definitely go back & suggest it for others. Make a reservation though. Finally, the name isn't easily seen so we had to look for the number of the building to actually find it.Parking: On street parking can be difficult. We saw a lot near by, but not sure of the cost.

Just happened to stumble upon this place for brunch and certainly glad I did. The food is food is fantastic?? Quite possibly the best biscuits and gravy I’ve had.

i like the aspect of the pictures and history of the place but it was oddly depressing to eat here i don’t know why. maybe the vibe of the host seemed off and offended we didn’t have reservations but it was so weird. the food i ordered was basic.

The best fried chicken and other authentic Southern food. Great backstory on Hattie. Atmosphere adds so much. I love it here and bring visitors all the time. One of the best places in Saratoga.

Hatties is always a great time. I love their New Orleans themed cuisine. I personally always have chicken livers and usually either their famous fried chicken or catfish. Sal always makes wonderful cocktails such as several or mohitos. Our service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend.

Hattie’s was sadly a disappointment. We had 12:15 brunch reservations and were right on time. Hostess was not exactly friendly - we approached our table and I asked my husband “is this table okay?” because it was close to the door (chilly) and the place is small as is. The hostess loudly interjected “Well, it’s what we have, so….”We ordered deviled eggs (not good, the eggs tasted like they used those pre-boiled, bagged bulk eggs and the filling was near flavorless), pimento cheese (the best part, easily 9/10), the original chicken sandwich (*looked* impressive but was bland and dry), and the southern benedict (eggs were poached perfectly but the “biscuit” it was served on couldn’t have been much bigger than an Oreo in diameter and was somehow hard and crunchy, ham was like a 1.5” square - see pic, K-cup for scale) and sodas. The home fries were especially disappointing. They were rocks, like they were so desiccated and hard one literally could not pierce them with a fork. Total with 20% tip was $72.Service was great. 10/10. Doesn’t make up for the less than welcoming seating and the sad food.

The food was great! I am from Alabama so this definitely reminded me of the "soul food" I am familiar with. The catfish was great, as well as collards, red beans and rice (beware, the sausage is very spicy), green beans, yams, and cornbread. The tea was awesome as well. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for brunch but we just wanted chicken sandwiches so we didn’t try and can’t comment on the breakfast items. The chicken sandwich is as advertised- very good and worth the trip. The beignets were also very good! It’s a simple location with a simple menu but overall very good.

i’m gonna start off by saying as soon as we walked in, we were rushed to get out. i arrived around 1:30, i know they close at 2. the hostess brought us over to the table and said “okay now hurry cause we close soon”. i looked at her and said “okay…” a few minutes go by and she comes back to us and says “i only said that cause we have to put the coffee and sugar away cause we are closing now.” i just smiled at that comment.i ended up getting the cajun omelette. it was very falsely advertised. there is absolutely no taste of cajun AT ALL. the sausage in the omelette was more like a hot dog and didn’t even make sense to be in an omelette. it was greasy and slimy, water couldn’t even wash it down. the “texas toast” was regular white toast. then the hostess came back over and started clearing plates out of the way while my boyfriend was still eating. she goes “i just wanna make the table look nice” and took away all our utensils. the whole meal ended up making my stomach insanely upset. it ended up being around $45, was definitely not worth the price. you can go right next door to sweet mimi’s and get 2 meals for half the price with way better service and way better food.

What a gem. Hattie's is a MUST visit! The food is phenomenal. The only complaint we have is the greens, while tender they were sweet. Like honey sweet. So we did not enjoy them, it's all preference based. The Mac and Cheese was so good we ordered two lol ? Overall Hattie's is a wonderful peace of Saratoga history.

Food used to be Amazing. I used to live in Saratoga and frequently went to Hattie's. I moved away and want to stop by for brunch on my way up to the Lake. The Chicken is still on point and of good value. They definitely give you bigger pieces if you fine in. My daughter had the yogurt and it was very sour. The waffle was very bland And the beignets were doughy def not like Cafe Du Monde. Lastly the bloody marry was not good AT ALL. Unfortunate because I loved this place when I lived there. I was hoping for the same experience.
