An absolute gem of a place! I got the Shrimps & Scallops Marinara and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. A touch spicy but not overpowering. The linguine soaked up the sauce perfectly. I ate all the scallops and knew I had to take the rest home because it was a huge portion. Lightly heated the next day with the shrimp and it was still perfection! Only thing is, my salad was drenched in the dressing. IMO next time def dressing on the side. The blue cheese in the house dressing was delicious. We drove almost an hour and would def do it again! Btw the fresh bread with herbs butter was fresh and delicious!

Food was delicious and service excellent! We enjoyed chicken parm, eggplant parm, scallops and shrimp fra diavalo. We ordered 3 desserts to share, chocolate decadence, key lime pie, and chocolate cake all scrumptious! Will come back again! Soo good!
My go to spot for my Birthday. Companion had the Lemon Haddock. I had the Shrimp Genoase includes side salad. Never disappoints, plus I have leftover for tomorrow.

Been going there for years. Went tonight and not going back. only good part of the meal was the bread. I’ve had the shrimp Genoese there for numerous times and it’s not the same. Was a darker sauce and didn’t taste the Sherry. Big disappointment! The veal parm was dry and on top of the pasta with dry linguine, no sauce. Just placed a big dry piece of veal over it with sauce on the veal. Terrible meal.

Love the food, the pasta and fresh ingredients, the fish and shrimp are always cooked perfectly, the service is very attentive and friendly, the atmosphere needs a little neutralization, getting away from the murals, carpets and oak furniture. Overall it cannot be beat!

The food and service is fantastic. However, our time there last night was the loudest restaurant experience I've ever had. We were seated in a corner between tables with 8 & 10 people. Maybe spread the large groups out so the sound can dissipate a bit. It was disappointing bc we were catching up with friends we hadn't seen in a few years.

The oldest restaurant in Saratoga, and still in my opinion, the best for great Italian cuisine, and the Best Steak for the money in Saratoga! They still include a salad with every dinner ... and it's hard to beat their house dressing with crumbled blue cheese. They're excellent at all of the Italian staples and their red sauce is wonderful. When the veal and peppers are on special, I just have to get it. It's good as you'll get anywhere and better than most. When it comes to dessert, if you like carrot cake, theirs is Fabulous - it says right on the menu the name of the bakery they get it from -(They don't pretend that they make it there)... but it doesn't come from restaurant depot or cSysco's. This is great carrot cake! They are a little off the beaten path down that side road by the harness track ... but I guess it's not to hidden as people have been finding it for 100 years. The fact they have a parking lot with plenty of available parking, is a Saratoga bonus. If you need haven't been there, you should give them a try. If you haven't been there in a while - get back there and tell them I sent you ...lol. (they do not know me.)

If you are going to see the ponies, dinner at Pennel's is a must. As they say - eat where there are mostly local license plates in the lot. This is the place. Atmosphere is cramped unless you request patio seating. Service is good but they do get busy. Food is a five but gave it a four because they ran out of 100 year old lasagna one time. Make a reservation! You won't regret it.
