This used to be a great pizza place. Now,I'd say dont bother. Go to another local pizza place, ANY other pizza place. Pope's was a good to for friendly service and good pizza from the 90s forward, but now it's pathetic. Lack of motivated servers, unkempt restrooms and dirty tables. Sad. Wish I had read reviews prior to stopping in. Waste of time and money.

I now live in Sydney and after five nights in Manhattan, we drove up to Saratoga, my hometown. One of the best pizza’s I’ve ever had was from Oma’s which unfortunately closed after the Owner passed. After some research I found that a relative of Oma’s opened Pope pizza with a very similar recipe. Cash only. The restaurant was very rustic, nothing fancy. The pizza was just like Oma, it was delicious. Having lived overseas for many years, it was like coming home tasting that Pizza. If you’re looking for a fantastic Pizza this is a great place to find one.

Stopped in to try the pizza and wings. Both were delicious. A young worker was hand tossing the crusts and his sister was our server. Lots of take out that night. We will definitely go back.

Waited 10 minutes on phone for someone to take my order. I ordered a calzone with broccoli (pay extra for broccoli) and got 2 pieces of broccoli. Order a large pizza, had more sauce than cheese and was extremely hard.

I go in every Friday and this was the worst experience. They didn’t try to help solve the problem. I wish they were the same, but they definitely went down hill.

Please be aware they change desperately.

It’s not good. Ordered pizza and wings from Pope’s last night and it was mediocre at best. The wings had no flavor and the pizza needed to be cooked longer. There are much better options out there.

About a 7. Very inconsistent pizza run by a bunch of kids 25 years ago. It was really amazing.

I've been a Pope's customer since they started on Broadway. That all ended tonight. Picked up a pie that should have had sausage but didn't. Sauce was non existent totally over cooked , no oil. I think eating the box would probably been better. I have always recommended Pope's. That ended tonight. Miss the old days.

I stopped in and ordered a slice of pepperoni and a slice of sausage. This is hands down some of the best pizza I've had in ages in the Capital Region - kudos to the team for keeping it real even during slow winter days. Next time I'll get some photos
