In town for a work conference and stumbled upon this gem. It reminded me of being in Venice but for the American portion size. Food was delicious. Service was amazing.

Stellar evening even though our reservations were for the bar and it was not the best seating due to being by the kitchen door. The food was delicious, well presented, and plentiful. The cocktails were smooth and prepared right in front of you. For the exceptional quality food you need a table the bar became a crowded scene while we were trying to enjoy our dinner.

Recommended dishes: Sunday Sauce with Meatballs and Sausage, Meatballs, Shrimp Pasta
Overrated. The Sunday sauce is a joke. Hand crushed tomatoes right from a #10 can with some basil, watery and flavorless. Sunday sauce is cooked all day with meat in it for richness. The meatballs were trrrible. So soft they barely kept their shape with large pieces of bread inside. Again so soft and lacking any flavor. We had calamari that was overcooked and tasted fishy and old. My pasta and companions was mush in places and undercooked in other places. As an Italian Chef that has actually gone to Italy to learn the art of cooking, this was a joke. Overpriced and underwhelming. No excuse. I challenge anyone in that kitchen to make Sunday Gravy and stack it up against mine.

Food is low quality, on par with Buca di Beppo or a Maggiano’s. Prices are that of a high end restaurant in NYC. Service is completely absent. I would avoid this restaurant.

Make reservations so you can brag to your friends! Their attention to detail absolutely shows in the service and food. In a city with many great options, Solevo is a must-eat-there on your dining list.

The food was amazing. Even the free bread was very delicious and fresh. We will definitely be coming back! We got dessert to go so excited to try that when I have any room in my stomach!
I read reviews where the service wasn’t great but I did not have any issues at all. Our waiter was very nice and attentive at the right times.
I only took one star off atmosphere bc it is VERY loud. I couldn’t hear my husband right in front of me (inside). But the decor and feel of the space is very nice.

First time at Solevo and was excited to sit in the patio to enjoy the weather. Service was nice and our waitress was knowledgeable about the menu. Unfortunately the food did not meet expectations. We started with the calamari which was a big portion (it is $22) but overall unremarkable. For the entree I was torn but after asking the waitress what they recommended I settled on the Il Cortile. The pasta was overcooked, sauce broken, peas unevenly cooked (some hard and some soft.) My husband had the Osso Bucco which was slathered in a herb butter sauce, the only flavor to the dish. The meat was tough and the vegetables also undercooked. We both left the majority of our meals on our plate and didn’t consider taking the boxed up food when we left. Additionally the drinks and cocktails are expensive ($24 for a mediocre glass of Barolo) Overall really expensive meal that was not worth the price.

Solevo has Excellent food but beware the
Portions are huge. Service was excellent with a nice pace for dinner. Difficult to get reservations in track season so plan ahead ….. desserts looked yummy and I wished I had skipped the app to save room for one. Highly recommend their halibut special and also the pasta
Bolognese

On the plus side, they took care of us very late at night. My daughter's chicken parm was excellent. my other daughter's salmon was fantastic. They just happened to screw up my food twice. They had an angel hair pasta on the menu and without even asking just substituted spaghetti. I love Angel hair and hate spaghetti. They brought me some lasagna instead.
Obviously they were pissed off about the spaghetti because it was three pieces of broken lasagna and a ton of ricotta. I pointed out the slop that they served me and they took that off the bill. Don't think I'm going back.

The last 2 times we've been in Saratoga, Solevo has been jammin' when we walked by so this year we were so excited when we made a reservation. Unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The octopus appetizer was very tough but the garbanzo bean accompaniment was delicious. My husband's halibut was overcooked and dry but the lobster ravioli and sauce that came with it were delicious. But the biggest disappointment was my lasagna. It was way too salty (and I love salt so that says a lot) and swimming in sauce. Service was also lacking. The drinks were well made and we loved the outdoor seating though. Will not be going back and can't recommend.
