There was a 3 piece string band that was exceptional! The food and service were great. We are from out of town and left a Churchill Downs baseball cap as we were enjoying ourselves with the band. From WV, MD and MI.We would be back if we lived closer.

Everyone working there was incredibly generous, and helpful when navigating their huge canned beer selection. Also, they had Heady Topper and Focal Banger, which is reason enough to stop by. If you like beer I’d highly recommend.

This a pub that serves food, don't go for the food, go to enjoy a great neighborhood pub with very amiable and helpful staff, especially the bar-keeps. If you want a 5 star dinner, go downtown, otherwise feel free to get some okay food to wash down with a great brew.

The bartender was the only thing good about this place. He was a nice guy. The atmosphere was bad. The place smelled. The place was dirty. The food was terrible and we won’t go again. Your bartender was very nice tho.

After waiting for 40 minutes and no wings or food,I went in to ask about the food and was told they were saucing the wings. 25 minutes later they came out. When I asked I was told the first ones were too well done so they had to be remade. The wings that we received were both burnt and raw at the same time. The burger was also cold. In total the food took an hour and 10 minutes and was definitely not worth the wait.

I wish I could rate higher, but in order to keep my integrity, I must give 3 stars. First things first, every employee I experienced was very friendly and nice. The bartender really took care of us and was consistently checking in on us making sure everything was good.I get it is a dive bar, but the food was pretty bad. When I arrived, there were only 2 customers in the entire establishment. This was a red flag to me based on surrounding businesses being significantly busier. Got drinks, everything was good. Ordered a couple apps. Pretzel bites were hard and had a burnt taste to them. The wings were also burnt, bland and dry. After the apps, we ordered food. This is where I began to have a bit of an issue. Yes we were a larger party of 10, but only 7 of 10 ordered food. We waited over an hour and a half for the food to come, and when it did, it came in bunches. 2 plates, then 10 more minutes would pass and 2 more plates would come, etc which really is not a huge deal, but after already waiting so long it was frustrating. By the time the food came, everyone was miserable and ready to leave. I think part of the problem is only having 1 designated cook, who appeared to be extremely young, no older than 15.The bathroom and kitchen were both dirty as well. I feel like this place just needs a little more love and commitment from ownership because there really is a good vibe inside. Our party never complained about the wait, but the bartender continuously apologized for how long the food was taking. I appreciate the apology, but the guy who appeared to be in charge never said a word to us or offered us any sort of discount, which is fine. I would not have accepted the discount either way because I understand it’s a small business, but it would have nice to have been at least apologized to by the man in charge.I really hope the best for this place. Could be a fantastic place with a little bit of help!!

Had a very bad experience here. The manager was very rude and needs lessons on manners. What about the adage ‘the customer is always right’? We also waited half an hour for mediocre food. I will not go back ever!Good old ‘Charlie’ made us four pleasant women out to be the bad guys by misconstruing all that was said to suit his meanness. Shame on you, Charlie! We are so insulted.

Rude bartender - insulted us because he wanted to go home early and bar was slow. At least wait until we're out of earshot, sport.

The owner was so rude to us that I couldn’t believe he was serious. He told us to go to Taco Bell if we wanted our food to come quick. We ordered quesadillas and waited 40 minutes. Meanwhile we were insulted by Charlie the owner because we asked for our food. We didn’t get any utensils napkins or all of our order. when The quesadillas finally came there were no condiments. I’ve never been treated so badly. Some of the other customers watching all this were astounded by it also and spoke up.

Food and cocktails were awful. Beer list is really good and waiter was trying his best but just a dirty dive bar.

Short staffed. Waited for an hour for a couple of sandwiches. Little meat on the shaved hoagie. Patio was dirty. Not returning ...

Nice place slightly off the beaten path in the theater district. They have great live music often.

Go for the amazing beer selection and NOT for the food. The servers would good and fun but the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches were terrible (dry as heck). They are very knowledgeable about beers and can select one based on your preferences. We would go back, but not to eat. Fun atmosphere with a nice little patio that allows dogs.
