I’ll start off with the appetizers, we got the Bavarian pretzels with the mustard dip. The pretzels were a little over cooked but not too bad. The mustard dipping sauce was very watery and had more of a vinegar taste than mustard and overall lacked flavor. Seemed like they were trying too hard to be fancy but failed. Moving on to the entrées, we got the Duck confit and BBQ ribs. I will have to say, I was able to substitute the fries for mashed potatoes with my BBQ ribs no problem, but the potatoes were very bland with no flavor. The ribs were tender but flavor was horrible, it tasted burnt and “chemically”. The Duck confit was good but nothing impressive, really nothing notable about it other than it lacked in flavor. I’d give the food at best 2 stars. Now on to the sub par service, we were not given any refills on our waters until we were practically finished with our meals. We were also discussing the desert option when we finished our meals but were promptly brought our check without being asked if we would like dessert which was quite disappointing. Overall my conclusion is the that the service and food were quite mediocre at best and decided not to bother asking for dessert, which we were hoping to be the saving grace of our disappointing meal. For the high end prices they charge I would not recommend this over any other restaurant in Saratoga. There are much better places to eat for your money.

Went for Easter brunch with my mother. It was an à la carte brunch which I much prefer since I can no longer get my money's worth at one of the normal brunches (too old to stuff myself to the point of bursting like I could when I was younger since it is like drinking too much). Our waitress Sarah (sorry if misspelled) was great. As a former server myself, please leave your servers, their tips and cash if possible. It's appreciated. Also, the owner came out to see how everything was and I apologize for forgetting her name but a lovely woman. We've been there on several different occasions and haven't been disappointed.

Decent dinner - I had the filet mignon and it was cooked to the correct temperature however did not have much flavor and was a bit too charred for my liking. The appetizer of chips and dip were delicious as were the sweet potato fries and Brussels sprouts. Overall we were underwhelmed for the price. In addition, they could not accompany our group of 10 but took 2 reservations of 5. The place was not packet and we had open empty tables next us.

We did a lot of research before picking our restaurants for this trip, and this one looked pretty good. We had reservations and were seated right away. It's pretty dark inside, and this is the 2nd restaurant in Saratoga with glass walls separating tables which is odd. We started with fried pickles which were greasy and seemed like they were undercooked. RJ ordered the rib eye and I ordered the filet. They were nothing exciting, with mashed potatoes and green beans, but both were cooked perfectly. The highlight of the evening was definitely the coconut cream pie which was absolutely fantastic. We regretted that we only ordered a piece to share!

Saratoga Springs restaurant week. Decided to make the truck up there from Albany. Huge plus is you can make a Resy! Made a Resy Friday night for Saturday night and was able to book a larger party size of 6 at 7pm. Saturday morning came received a call from Carrol just to confirm my note on the reservation, which in my personal option was accommodating. Showed up, parking is a shit show to say the least. The lot of you can even call it that has about 5 parking spots. Which is the reason for the -1 star. Entered through the bar area, the hostess stand is in like the middle of the restaurant which was weird. But sat right away for our 7pm reservation, menu was already open on the table. Waitress was prompt to ask if we wanted anything, got orders in right away and drinks came out according to my standards. The restaurant menu was ordered for the $35 you get 3 courses. Food was served hot, spicy and tasty. Portion size was in the smaller side definitely no doggy bags for us this time. Would go back but made a mental note: likely not during track season as we had a hard time finding parking when it was a rainy Saturday night in the off season. Tavern vibes, rustic, dress attire was pretty casual. Our bill was still a little step in price as we ordered multiple cocktails, drinks are about $15 a piece.

When we got there, we were seated pretty quickly, and to our surprise, they brought us a plate of these awesome fried pickles - way better than the usual bread baskets. The service was top-notch, taking care of whatever we needed. For my main course, I went with the Crispy Duck Confit with Potato Hash and Plum Sauce. I'm a sucker for duck, and this dish totally hit the spot. The sides they served with it were a perfect match, and I left the table totally satisfied. The other dish we tried was the Rare Blackened Ahi Tuna Tacos - so good! They've got a spicy kick that might be too much for me, but if you're into that, you'll love it.The food vibe totally matched the old-school Saratoga horse racing feel. Next time I'm back, I'm definitely checking out what else they've got on the menu.

Burger amazing! Oysters amazing!!! Extra dirty martini amazing! The host wonderful! We were in town for a conference at the Holliday hotel and called last minute on a Tuesday to see if we could squeeze in as well as if our clothes were appropriate. I was wearing jeans and a baseball hat and was comfortable. There were others dressed very well and others dressed as myself! The prices are fair!

Loved this place. We're staying across the street and it was a perfect place for dinner on Wednesday night without a reservation during off season. The horseradish crema from the fried pickles was a favorite and we saved some and had it with our steak frites. Steak was cooked perfectly! The ahi tuna tacos were great just wished the taco shells were warm. Grabbed Prosecco and red velvet cake to go! Chris was a great server!

I enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant with it being a more upscale but still casual dining. The food (Brook Tavern Burger & Skillet Cookie) were delightful. It was my second time dining and got the same order. Both times, I was fond of the food. I appreciated the tentative staff. My beverages were refilled promptly. I recommend dining earlier than later due to the parking lot.

Our first time at the Brook Tavern and we will definitely be back. We started with the rock shrimp which had a ton of flavor. We ordered the 22oz ribeye which was cooked perfectly. The steak came with whipped garlic potatoes and carrots; all sides were cooked perfectly as well. I got the beer battered fish fry and this was good as well. I wish the batter was a little thicker and crispier, but I was still very good. The housemade tarter was a nice treat. Next time we'll get the skillet cookie for dessert. Sit at the bar with Steve and he'll take care of you!
