I had the taco special of specially prepared and seasoned beef. It was topped with a sprinkle of white onions and salt It was totally dry. No sauce drizzled on top. Just dry shredded beef in corn taco shell. The kombucha was perfect.

This is a very popular place - for good reason - so don’t be surprised if you have to wait in line for 20 or so minutes. The bagels and pastries are fresh, fresh, fresh, and the coffee is top shelf. They give you the drinks up front, then you wait for any food that needs to be “assembled” or heated. The coordination of my order was pretty good, however my coffee had cooled off a fair amount by the time my toasted bagel was ready. Not a deal breaker, of course. We’ll be back! Also, for people new to the restaurant, when you enter, and the main room tables are full, it appears as if you might not find a place to sit. It would be useful to have a sign at the front of the restaurant indicating there is additional seating in the back rooms.

Sorry, but we were disappointed about this place. They seem to let homeless off Broadway to come in and ask you for money while you are standing in line to place your order. Where is the management?? The place seems to be run by unfriendly kids behind the counter And the coffee was not good at all, poorly made cappuccino, but the bagels were better.

Stopped in one Sunday afternoon for coffee and dessert one Sunday afternoon. It seemed the rest of the town had the same idea as it was really crowded. We enjoyed a cinnamon raisin bagel and cheddar parmesan bagel along with cafe mochas. There are not many seats around, but we eventually found a table for two near the back. It was a good meal in a relaxed no rush environment. Glad we persevered through the crowds and enjoyed Common Grounds.

I love this place and have spent many hours reading and drinking coffee here before the pandemic.. I recently went in for the first time in quite a few years for a decaf coffee and scone The decaf coffee was burnt and the scone was stale it seems that since the pandemic quality food has not become a high priority, most places just hanging on I guess this was a true disappointment.

An average kind of place. Nostalgic only because it's been around for quite some time. Coffee is better than bad but not spectacular. For coffee, you're better off going to Kru down the street.

Service would have been fine except for the incredible rude young kid who demanded I place my cup in an overflowing bin of nonsense verses, gently taking the cup from me. It was clear he was more interested in conversation about nothing than servicing the customer.

Perhaps next time, I will be welcomed with more warmth.

Very crowded and the line moves so slowly. At times it felt like the line didn't move for nearly 20 minutes.

Great place but a bit too dark for me. It is hard to read the menus posted; love the bagels and coffee.

This place is constantly busy and for good reason. There has not been a time we've walked in that there is not a line wrapped halfway down the length of the restaurant. Today at noon, it was to the back. That said, 23min to order, food less than 10min later. Service once you order is quick. Quicker when it's not cooked items. We were here at 9:00 today for breakfast too. So, the food is hands down worth it.

Now... hot beverages leave something to desire. That hot part. The coffee is great. The cocoa tastes fantastic. However, lukewarm at best. The whole point of a hot beverage is the heat. If we need to nuke the beverage at home, I'll just make it at home. This is a shame considering this is first a coffee house. So, the latte, cocoa, or other taste good but leave us disappointed. Hence, the 3 stars instead of more.

Friendly staff. Will return for food again, and again, ahhh and again.

Great spot with plenty of room. Went for coffee but ended up staying for a breakfast sandwich. Bagel was top tier and would recommend one of their large cookies.

Great food. Low key atmosphere. Friendly employees. Customers on laptops. Fluffy NYC style bagels. Come on people. If you have a beard, please cover it.

Very tasty bagel sandwiches and some of the best coffee I've had.
Very, very busy when I was there and for an out of town guest my cashier did a great job explaining how they organized orders-where to pickup drinks vs food. Others in my party were less informed by their cashier
