I had high hopes for my visit to Walt Cafe, and I must say, the atmosphere was fantastic—exactly what you would expect from a traditional coffee shop. However, the coffee itself left much to be desired. It was rather subpar; I could have easily made a similar brew at home. The self-service for cream and sugar was a bit of a letdown, and I could barely taste the flavor shot I paid an extra $0.25 for.

Lovely, comfortable place with delicious coffee. Just what I need after a sip of the undrinkable slurry served at our hotel.

For the unfamiliar, it’s a little tricky to find (ask me how I know), but hang in there, it’s worth it. Here’s a hint: it’s upstairs in back of the Whitman Brewery.
