We chose this spot because it was just down the street from our Air BnB, so we could walk there without worrying about drinking and driving. We met some family who lives in the area, so it was convenient for them, too. When we arrived, there was a VERY loud trivia game going on during the MLB playoffs, Monday night football, and other sports airing on TV. The guy in charge had an irritating scream level voice that was really annoying. I even had to ask them to turn on the MLB...
My friend and I both ordered the calamari with hot peppers. Not only was it delicious, niether of us could finish it all. The West Side is casual, and feels very welcoming, You could bring your children, or Grandma and Grandpa,and feel very comfortable. The service was friendly, and the kitchen was quick. I’m new to the capital region and this is the first bar-restaurant that I have tried in Saratoga Springs but it is already my favorite! I ordered the steak salad and when it arrived the salad is larger than I expected and very well prepared and super fresh. Also the steak was exactly cooked the way I requested and the salad dressing was homemade. I was actually still hungry after the salad so I ordered a side of hand made French fries which was nice with the skins still on and...
