What a charming place, with delicious food, that felt like it was from the past! I got subs, and three containers of fresh pickles. Great homemade pickles (I got the dill, the sour, and the sweet horseradish). Extremely fresh sub sandwiches on delicious non-squishy bread. Felt like a blast from the past, in a good way!

Brine Barrel special $15.
He made sure to tell me this sandwich is 2 sandwiches in 1. Got half way thru when I realized he forgot my onion, hot peppers, and vinegar. He also forgot my pickle which I asked for on the way out the door and is included with every sandwich. The place is empty and non inspiring. You really need to be on your game for a $15 sandwich in an empty store with no customers. With all that being said this sandwich was excellent but you pay for it....

Me and my friend were so pleasantly surprised by this sandwich shop in Saugerties! The photos don’t do the sandwich justice. Everything is so fresh, cut and assembled right in front of us by the owner We wish that we got a few more to go for the rest of our drive!
