“Stopped in for a late breakfast around 2:00pm after deer hunting. I ordered the everything omelette with their homeade rye bread toast. It was FANTASTIC!!! I cant way to get back out there!!!”

“I really like the baked goods you get from Elkland and the local cheese is the best. And of course the kids give your store a thumbs up for the iceceam. Now I have to say this, because it's something that has been weighing heavily on me for most of the day. I know it's difficult running a retail establishment, because I did it myself for 35 years. You always have to put on a happy face, even if you're having a bad day,....or maybe you don't like that one particular customer that just walked in. NOW, just imagine that the one guy you absolutely hate to see, finally realizes that you detest him.....and he has no earthly idea why. Well it just finally came to me when I stopped this afternoon to buy some cookies. Some how, some way, I must have done or said something that offended you. If that's the case, for whatever it was I said, or did, I sincerely apologize. Anyway, I'm sure you'll still see my wife and kids.”

“Very friendly owners! Fast service and great prices! We are there at least monthly. Their subs are delicious and their deli meats are fresh and much cheaper than the grocery store. Their pizza supplies are also yummy.”

“Took my wife and daughter for the first time tonight. Now, Mexican isn't my first choice for going out (or even second if I'm being honest.) But my description, in a word, is EXCELLENT!! My wife had the chile relleno. My daughter had a steak quesadilla. (she wasn't that thrilled with it). And I had the seafood chimichanga (shrimp and crab) that was out of this world! Also the largest margarita I've ever had. (blackberry) Brand new restaurant, still getting their feet under them. Give it a month, I'm sure they'll be a full 5 stars. Highly recommend!!”

“Best beers in the area. I’m a huge brewery guy and regularly visit microbrews, brew pubs, gastro pubs etc. ii have a very broad palette and enjoy the full spectrum of beers. That said, it’s VERY rare I like every beer on a menu. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad beer at Tub Town. Which is remarkable as they can be pretty creative and experimental with their brews. Their Detroit style pizza is also delicious, and worth a trip for that alone. The owners are extremely friendly as are the regulars/locals. My only negative comment is, despite my constant begging, they haven’t brought back their spectacular Pale Ale from last year. I’d recommend they change their sign/logo too as at passing glance it kinda looks like a bathroom outfitters. Love the name though - just wish the Brewing part was more prominent”

“4X happy!!!!Yesterday was the fourth time we have stopped in for lunch. Sandwiches and fries are delicious and there is a decent selection of beers on tap. Servings are very large, and prices are very reasonable. There is a very pleasant atmosphere inside, with excellent service and friendly people. We live an hour away, and look forward to going back!”

“Stopped in with friends for dinner and boy , we were pleasantly wowed by the service and food ! Calamari and green fried tomatoes were delicious the sauces were interesting and delicious. Hubby has the build your burger which was huge , perfectly cooked very juicy. The " Rachel and caprice chicken " sandwiches very well constructed and great flavors. The shrimp scampi huge portion and large perfectly cooked shrimp. Wonderful salads as well. I would give our meals 4 to 5 *. Certainly high quality food. 4 people 117 .00 $. “This place is the epitome of a home-town diner for Bath new York. The food is good, they have what they have and what they have is very tasty. The prices, of course, are very reasonable (if not cheaper than other restaurants). The folks who work and serve there are very attentive and communicative.This is a great place to go for lunch or breakfast with friends or colleagues during the work day.Dietary restrictions: They do not have gluten free bread but they are willing to serve most food items that would have bread without it. Same goes for dairy free folks, you can ask for food without the cheese but there are no dairy free milks or cheeses.If you are dangerously allergic (i.e. celiac) this is probably not the place to go. I am not sure about any policies they have concerning cross contamination.”

“It's not a secret that over the past several years, for one reason or another, the Village Tavern steadily declined in terms of service, quality/value of food and drink, and overall atmosphere. Coming here since 1994, it got to the point that I just didn't want to waste my money or be disappointed again. Under new ownership and management, I am very happy to say that those days are over, and the Village Tavern is once again the place. In Hammondsport for just one night as part of a longer visit to the area, I stopped in and winded up talking with the owner. She assured me that things were different now, and invited us to have a drink. We ended up making dinner reservations for that evening. Put simply, dinner was amazing. Our server, Cheri, was attentive and has worked here for many years, which means she knows firsthand the difference between the old and the new. She just confirmed what we already could see, feel, and taste. We both decided on the Weekend Tasting Menu. Outstanding. Each course was as good or better than the one before. Chef John Mims really knows his stuff. We loved the Cajun-influenced food in the Finger Lakes. The Redfish was perfectly seasoned, light and flavorful. The Braised Pork Shoulder was tender in a great sauce. Accompanied by a bottle of local wine, this dinner was a great return to what was once my favorite place in Hammondsport, and looks like will be again. Highly recommended.”

“After a trying day of travel with a breakdown we were so happy to have a cold beverage ( beer for me!)and a good cheese burger perfectly prepared with the perfect amount of fries with it! We just didn't want to be bothered with cooking at the camper and this turned out to be an excellent choice. I recommend it!!”
