“I definitely recommend this place. Being Greek & growing up with Greek food throughout my life, I can tell you that you will get good authentic Greek food here. I have also ordered from them twice on Uber Eats. It's hard to find good Greek food restaurants that you can get food delivered on Uber Eats. Their portions are generous & the salad is fresh!. Their Bifteki is awesome! Not all Greek restaurants out on Long Island have Bifteki. I opted for the Bifteki (Beefteki) bowl over Greek salad! And their warmed pita bread with the seasoning on it is so good. I will definitely order from them again.“

“First time there last night. Delicious food, huge servings, prices great! Best chick pea salad appetizer and Greek salad . Lamb chops big portion and delicious with green beans with peppers and onion vegetable and lemon potato wedges. Highly recommend glad our friends brought us there. Wish I lived closer“

The food is not just good, it's truly excellent, showcasing a commitment to quality that is hard to find. The service matches the quality of the food—it's consistently great, reflecting the professionalism and courtesy of the staff. They possess excellent manners and are clearly dedicated to ensuring that all customers’ needs are met. While it’s understandable that some patrons may occasionally feel overlooked, especially during busy times, it's important to recognize that the staff can only attend to one table at a time. However, rest assured that eventually everyone is attended to, ensuring that each guest's experience is pleasant and satisfying.“

“One of the best places to eat around, the quality/quantity and price is unbeatable and hasn’t changed in YEARS, unlike most restaurants getting more expensive using less inferior quality food, Gilshar is truly a gem. Great place to dine in or take out would recommend 10 stars if could lol ❤️🙌🙏“

“Amazing food, environment, everything! Been twice and both times didn’t disappoint. The service is excellent and the family always offers suggestions, help with pronunciations, amazing and patient w/ explaining the different dishes. The family who owns the place truly make you feel at home and the food tastes that way as well. So much love and flavor!! Seasoned extremely well, super aromatic. And again, I can’t stress how pleasant and welcoming the fam is. Food really is made w/ love.“

“Came to write my review so fast. Chicken tacos were delicious. I got them doordashed and they were still so hot, double wrapped with a soft corn shell so they didn’t get soggy, and then individually wrapped in tin foil. I appreciate this level of care because tacos can get messy. The chicken was tender and juicy and the flavors were on point, and the tacos were filled well for the price! Highly recommend“

“This place has really good food!! I'm really picky too, it was so friggin good. They had a deal going where you choose your foods and they make you a platter/dish of food that I could not finish in one sitting, neither could my unc lol it was a lot of good food..did I mention it was only $7 a plate?! Usually $10, which is still totally worth it. I also tried their fries, OMG they're like Checkers Rallys fries but thicker!! So delicious and fresh!! All the food was fresh and the restaurant was immaculate. I will be going back here to eat. Hey, if you live near there...you're foolish to not eat there. I gave them 5⭐“
