My parents had a reservations last week (8/2025) and arrived to find all the doors locked, the desk empty and nobody answering the phone!! They turned around and went home to Chautauqua, NY. Not a short drive!
We had our daughter’s wedding at the Gould this past weekend, I cannot say enough good things about Anthony, Roy, Michaela and the rest of the staff! Kind, caring and accommodating are just a few words that come to mind. Thank you all so much for making Maddy and Shannon‘s wedding weekend unforgettable ❤️
We enjoyed a great dinner. The chicken parm and chicken avocado flatbread were delicious. It was a packed night, staff was great, food came out timely. The manager Anthony took good care of us.

The Historic Gould Hotel Seneca Falls, an Ascend Collection Hotel, offers a charming and nostalgic stay in the heart of Seneca Falls. The hotel is located right downtown, within walking distance of local restaurants, shops, and the Seneca River, making it a convenient choice for exploring the area. The hotel features a large free parking lot and a nice gym, adding to its appeal.
Rooms are generally spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with some recent updates like renovated bathrooms. Guests often appreciate the historic charm, including tiled floors and natural light, which give the hotel a unique character different from big chain hotels. The staff is consistently described as friendly and helpful, providing a pleasant experience for visitors. Many guests enjoyed the fluffy towels, hot showers with good pressure, and the overall quiet atmosphere.
While the hotel’s bar and restaurant are frequently closed, guests still find value in the inexpensive prices, comfortable rooms, and prime location. Some minor issues, such as outdated decor or a curtain that doesn’t close properly, are noted but do not detract significantly from the overall positive experience. The hotel’s peaceful ambiance, historic feel, and friendly staff make it a good choice for those seeking a cozy, simple stay in a scenic, walkable town.
