I normally don't leave bad reviews, but my experience today at this bagel shop was honestly so frustrating that I feel compelled to share.

First off, I noticed the younger workers were being yelled at in front of customers by the older staff. It’s obvious they weren’t trained properly, but they certainly don’t deserve to be treated that way. Seeing them get scolded like that was uncomfortable and unprofessional. They need support, not public humiliation.

Next, my order was completely messed up. I asked for a scooped bagel, but when I received it, the bagel was only half scooped. How do you mess that up? It seems like a pretty simple request, but clearly, attention to detail was lacking.

Then, when it came time to get my food, there was a major communication issue. The workers were loudly calling out the number “81,” but my number was “08.” Naturally, I didn’t get up because it wasn’t my number being called. When they finally realized the mix-up, it became really awkward. How am I supposed to know that “08” somehow means “81”? It was confusing and uncomfortable.

Lastly, I had an interaction with the owner that left me completely stunned. At one point, he had a pile of papers and asked me to take them to his desk. I’m a paying customer, not an employee, and there were clearly staff members around who could’ve helped. This was not only unprofessional but just plain weird.

I won’t be coming back. Poor service, lack of training, and uncomfortable experiences all around. Treat your employees with respect and your customers may respect you too.

Whitefish salad was excellent but the bagels were so soft it wasn’t like they were even baked.

Worth the stop if you’re in the area or passing through. They definitely live up to the “express” in their name, as they’re extremely efficient despite the high traffic they experience.
Their everything bagel was so flavorful. I got mine with bacon, egg, and cheese. It can be overwhelming to order when they’re busy, but it seems like everything can be customized to your liking. AKA pepper jack cheese and extra crispy bacon :)

Leo Lazzarini was a very helpful worker. He helped me pick out a bagel which turned out to be my favorite! He made it with much love and took a dollar out of his own pocket to help me pay! What an amazing person to br working at this beautiful bagel shop. A beautiful man inside a beautiful bagel shop! I love it. 🥰

This is our go-to egg sandwich “fix” a few times a year when we come back to visit LI. Bagels are soft, tasty, and fresh every day. The food is delicious! If there’s a line, it moves quickly. Everyone inside is kind but fast. This place runs like a well-oiled machine, and our orders always come out correct (which is becoming more difficult to come by)! We’ve strayed a few times out of convenience, but other bagel shops don’t come close to comparing. We end up right back here time and time again to scratch our itch.

Bagels are oversized and fresh. Service is quick considering the amount of customers. There is no atmosphere but that is to be expected.

I live in North Carolina but my parents grew up on Long Island so we visit frequently, and go to this bagel store every time. I have memories of this place from when I was a little kid, and I came in today and it really is still the same as it was all those years ago, which is a good thing because they have the best bagels I have ever had in my life. If you are looking for a good bagel store on LI, I highly recommend coming here for breakfast one morning. You won’t be disappointed!

On a Sunday drive in search of breakfast. Stopped in on a lark and we were pleasantly surprised. Old-school bagel/deli that was super busy (good sign!) but the wait wasn't too long. Two breakfast sandwiches and 3 bagels $24. I thought a little pricey but most likely on par with others. Super friendly staff, highly recommend.
