Besides I was waiting for the menenger/owner I was questioning by the staff if the owner came to talk to me during my drinks food. I hope I can get a better experience next time.

Food was great- full of flavor. I had the skirt steak with a side of Mexican corn - and it was a large cut and full of delicious spices. The white sangria was flavorful and the margarita was small, but clean and fresh.
The service was a whole different experience. Waiter came by and asked us if the appetizer of guacamole we ordered was “Good Stuff?” He took our order and although he seemed friendly, we never saw him again for our entire meal. He seemed disinterested in us and took good care of the the larger tables (there was 2 of us-two middle-aged women) and gave plenty of attention to 4-6 people tables, but we sat waiting and waiting after we finished our meal, we were never asked if we wanted another drink and we were left waving our hands in the air in a white table-clothed restaurant to get his attention in order to get the check. That’s when he asked if we wanted dessert. Nope. Good food, but the service left us feeling invisible.

Excellent service gray food and drinks, also do not hesitate to do the Tequila tasting great info about the different types of tequila.

Went last night. 6 of us. We loved everything. Food and drinks were delicious. Our server was great! Can't wait to return.

The owners should be proud of their staff, the most friendly polite group l. They made our first experience and we will be going back soon.

A lot of time and effort went into renovating this place and they did a great job. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming from the time we walked in until we left. Service was outstanding and the food was some of the best we have ever had. A reservation is strongly recommended as the restaurant fills up quickly. They are working on the large patio area now so it will be great to be able to eat outdoors. They have a good sized private party room on the upper level so if you are looking to have a party, this would be a great choice.

Parking: There is parking in a shared lot. It is a bit hilly though.

Wheelchair accessibility: I believe that there would not be an issue with getting a wheelchair in and around the restaurant.

We just enjoyed the most delightful dining experience! Ixchel of Setauket was a wonderful discovery. My husband is a native of Mexico and therefore very particular about Mexican cuisine. We saw this new place a few times driving home and he decided to give it a try. From the moment you walk in, you know it will be a fine dining experience not just a meal. The service was impeccable with multiple staff members to attend to you. The variety of drinks and dishes (all Mayan based) were surprising. The quality of the food was beyond 100% But the cap to the evening was a visit to our table by the owner Daphne & her friendly husband Juan. After speaking with them, you can immediately hear their passion for their place. The two of them have obviously put their heart & soul into every detail to bring a memorable moment into your lives. We were blown away! What a great asset to the Three Village community. This is an absolute 5-star establishment! Long may you stay Daphne & Juan!

Food was amazing. Service was amazing. The interior design is beautiful. We loved our experience and will be coming back ASAP so we can try more cocktails! Give this place a try 100000% ! Fatima was our waitress and she was so great and informative! She helped us with drinks and taco recommendations, which we ended up loving. We wished we had room for dessert but we were too full! Next time!!

This is my new go to restaurant !! Firstly the owners are absolutely welcoming and charming !!!! I cannot say enough about them. The atmosphere and food was equally as so. This is NOT your average Mexican restaurant !! I CANNOT wait to bring friends there again and again !! ❤️❤️

BLOWN AWAY! We had such an amazing experience at Ixchel! The moment we walked in the door to walking to our car was nothing short of spectacular. The staff is amazing and food is on another level! Having a gluten allergy I felt very safe eating here and will definitely be back! Thank you for an amazing experience.

Dietary restrictions: Very easy to talk to regarding gluten allergies or sensitivity’s. Mose of there food items are gluten free naturally.

Not sure if it is because I am a younger patron and was there on a date but service quality was extremely poor. Sat for around 30 minutes after initially placing the drink order waiting, during this time another waiter came up to us and assumed we weren't being helped since we were sitting there for so long. By the time we received the food we were waiting on refills the entire time. Had intentions on trying a few of the cocktails during dinner but only had the opportunity to place an order for one, saw the waitress twice the entire night.

The manager (or who I assumed to be) was making rounds to the tables but never checked in on us. Just unfortunately made us feel very unwelcome.

Food quality is great, but my tacos tasted nearly identical to the tacos at Chico's right down the road (I believe same owner). Might as well get them there for cheaper.

The atmosphere is the real make or break it with this place. If you want to go with a group of people and enjoy the live food service and ambiance, its great. Other than that save your money and go to Chico's instead.
